Summary: Once you get the computer (and video card) that will drive this beast, the monitor itself is just great. It's reliable. It's huge. The image is rock stood and sharp. The connections work well, and, as a USB port, it works great. No hesitation to recommend this until they put out a 4k version.
Summary: I've owned the little brother to this screen, the 24" HP LP2475w, for years with my home computer, and I liked it so much that it's the same monitor I chose to use at work for graphics work. So when I decided I wanted to upgrade to a 30" monitor, the HP ZR30w was the first monitor I added to my list of possibilities.
Summary: At the time of writing this (Jan 2013) It comes down to this monitor and Dell U3011 as the best options for a 30'' monitor. The HP is more expensive but wins out because of the processing lag [...
Summary: I have been using this monitor since the beginning of 2012 in my office. It is so awesome and I finally decided to buy one myself at home. I use it for photoshop :D No better monitor at this price range.
Summary: This is a display I use at work (as a computer programmer), and I was so happy with it that I bought one for home as well. Pretty expensive, but it is well worth it if you are going to sit in front of it many hours per day. The picture is eye-friendly, and the working area is huge - it can display long lines without wrapping, or I can place multiple windows side by side.
Pros: ZR30W is everything it claims to be. The real estate area is huge and the resolution is to-date unbeatable. My unit had zero dead pixels or similar issues. The screen is very bright and color-rich. No gradient coloring that plagues cheaper IPS panels as ZR30W features true 30-bit pixels that yield over a billion colors.
Cons: Of the disadvantages, this monitor is power hungry and does dissipate quite a bit of heat. The large size increases the minimum sitting proximity, so a small desk will strain one's neck and eyes.
Summary: I agree that this is one of the most beautiful pictures I have seen out of a 30" monitor. The lack of a scaler causes the zr30w to have some of the lowest input lag and as a gamer this is a must-have. All around a great monitor and I wouldn't hesitate to purchase another one.
Summary: Monitor arrived at promised time after placing the order. The monitor was intact and has functioned perfectly since connecting. Images and color are very sharp. This is an outstanding monitor.
