Summary: If you need a large screen with portrait format, this is "it" among today's choices. Worthy color reproduction out of the box, with solid resolution and no dead pixels. We normally avoid HP because of their rotten customer service, but this was too good to pass up. That said, if you don't need swivel capability there are many choices, from HP and others, that are more or less as good for far less cost.
Summary: The monitor has a solid construction and seems to be of good quality. The stand height is adjusted with ease and feels sturdy. The image is sharp and fairly accurate to the naked eye. I've owned this monitor for a few months now and I've had 0 issues, no dead pixels. The monitor has minimal bleed, which is only noticed when it's pitch black, - having said that, I don't think it's possible to find a 24" monitor that has virtually 0 back light bleed.
Summary: I had two HP LP2475w monitors, but one stopped working not too long ago. I scouted for new monitors for a while and eventually found this one. I was planning on getting a Dell ultrasharp, but I read a bunch of reviews saying they had issue. I am glad I went with this monitor. In compairison to the LP2475 this ZR2440 is lighter and thinner although the base is a bit taller and the rotation locks a lot better. The color calibration out of the box is almost perfect.
Great quality picture at high resolution, high build quality.

Summary: The HP zr2440w has a 16:10 aspect ratio. Most computer monitors now have a 16:9 ratio. With 16:10 there is less scrolling. Also great resolution at 1920 x 1200 instead of 1920 x 1080. So you see more. And this monitor has excellent picture quality.
Summary: This product arrived in only 3 days and was in perfect condition. Matched with a new custom built computer and could not be happier. Great for streaming movies in HD. Did not notice that it lacked HDMI cables in the box and only power cable supplied. No big deal but be aware that you will have to supply computer connection.
