Summary: Have used two of these monitors for work for about six months and a pair of the previous model before this for more than a year before that. Love having two monitors with 2560 x 1440 each.
Pros: Have been excellent, reliable monitors for me at work for months now. Use two side by side, running on DisplayPort from docking station on HP zBook17 mobile workstation. Good picture, great for multitasking and running multiple applications/having multiple documents open at the same time.
Summary: NewEgg should remove Antonline from the marketplace before they damage NewEgg's reputation any further.
Pros: I ordered a total of 3 HP Z27i monitors from Antonline. One of them arrived DOA, will not power on at all. I requested an RMA via NewEgg's RMA link which only resulted in an e-mail redirecting me to Antonline's RMA site. I dutifully requested an RMA via their site. No e-mail, no tracking number, no follow up. I called the next day and talked to an employee who knew nothing and was no help. He suggested I email email@example.com, which I did, with no response. Cons: I should have read the reviews before I placed my order, mea culpa, I would have purchased the monitors from another vendor and saved myself 3 days of annoyance.
Excerpt: The monitor arrived on time as expected. Product was new and in original packaging. Performance out of the box very good ... lowered the screen intensity to save on energy (it's used on z420 workstation with a dell 24" and a nec 19"). Would recommend monitor ... but only caveat is if this is your ONLY monitor you may be put off by the extra high resolution ...
Excerpt: This is my second HP Z series display. The first one is ZR24w, with 24" and up to 1920 resolution. Both work very well right from the box without much adjusting. Before this, I tried ASUS PB287Q and failed to adjust it after a week with/without Spyder 3. Good jobs, HP!
Excerpt: Very good display quality. I had looked lots of monitors and all had too much sparkle from the anti-glare coating. Glossy is out of the question for me. This is billed as a semi-gloss and you can tell it reflects slightly more light than some of the more matte panels but it is still way away from being a glossy panel. I'm extremely picky about monitors but this one passes the test for me. The main negative is that it takes several seconds to wake up from sleep mode.
Summary: Yes, this monitor is expensive, however it is worth it for the shear quality of image it exudes. The screen size and resolution is superb and I love the fact that HP have now introduced hdmi ports and usb 3.0 to bring it upto date. I use the z24 at work and the z27i at home. If it wasn't so expensive I would definitely buy another one for work, but I just can't justify the cost to upgrade from 24" to 27".
