Excerpt: Just receive the monitor about a week or so ago and so far it performs great. Especially for the value. Nice color out of the box but I am going to color calibrate it just to be on the safe side. I am using it for a secondary display along with my iMac display. I can say one thing about it, it is a pleasure to edit photos without out the glare Apple Display. It has nice rich colors and hasn't cause me to really second guess colors yet.
Excerpt: After setting up the monitor, I found a fairly obvious dark spot in the dead center of the screen. Another spot just to the right. It seems obvious no one inspected the monitor before it was boxed up. Thankfully I found that HP has good support for their business products (this monitor does not qualify as a consumer product, I found, after calling the wrong department).
Excerpt: These monitors are fantastic for CAD. I bought 18 of these for 9 CAD Designers. The 16: 10 ratio is such a better screen size especially for dual monitor setups. The brightness is incredible, had to turn them down 50%. The resolution is super clear. I really can't find any negatives about these monitors. Worth the money.
Pros: Adjustable Viewing Angles, Great picture quality, Large Viewing Area, Reliable Performance
A pair of these is perfect for my needs. Excellent monitor, especially for the price.

Summary: After reading lots of reviews on lots of monitors, I decided on two of these to replace my very old 21" Samsung Syncmaster 213t monitors, which were starting to fade unevenly. With some concern for color accuracy, I do a lot of photo editing and some video editing, so I debated going to wide gamut monitors, but because I also do a significant amount of non-image computer work like CAD, and not being a professional needing to match to printers, etc, decided to go with...
Promising specs but disappointing backlight uniformity

Summary: UPDATE 5/2014: Users on a certain hard forum are reporting that these monitors are now shipping with LTM240CL03 panels, which were not in the monitors I received. It is possible that new units are not affected by the dark corner issue. Also note that, unlike the Z27i, there is no audio out jack on this monitor (such as to connect a separate speaker system to play the audio over DisplayPort).
Excerpt: Swapped out my Apple 23" Cinema Display for this HP model. My only complaint is that the text looks a bit pixelated, almost as if too sharp. Other than that, a great value for the price, easy to set up, looks great and works very well.
Excerpt: just purchased this monitor for photo editing in sRGB colour space (I do not have, and need, a full wide gamut 30+ bit workflow). This monitor is light, very light! it seems solid and well built, with a dark gray matte finish which is sober and elegant, should fit any desktop with easy. The AG coating is lighter than most at this price range, so it is not grainy looking, it is semi gloss and I feel this is less intrusive than the matte AG coating on other older models.
Pros: Easy To Set Up, Easy To Use, Pwm Free, Wide Viewing Angles
