Summary: Got this monitor about a year 1/2 ago and compared to others out there right now that I am still satisfied. If you can still purchase one, I highly recommend. I use this mainly for computer use and occasional movies and games. Like other reviews, I think more people will place negative reviews when their not happy then a lot us who were happy. I decided to post this to let others know that for mine, it is still working great.
Summary: The reviews of this product which I read before purchasing this product said it was the clear winner in large desktop monitors. After working with it for several weeks I have to agree with those reviews. It as big a monitor as I would want and has several built in features that make it very nice to use. The monitor is stable setting on the desktop and the picture is crisp and clear. Colors are beautiful and the screen is 25 inches..its big.
Summary: I turned back the clock on over a decade of HP hatred to purchase this product. My HUGE viewsonic graphic artist quality CRT (that weighs about 85 pounds, which I'm going to have to remove the same way I got it in my office -- through the window) lived twice as long as it should have, despite heavy use, as started to show signs of imminent death. For once, I wanted to buy in a calm state, not a "monitor down, must buy this second!" state.
A ton of features but skimpy on the picture quality.

Summary: Pros: This monitor pretty much has it all! Built in speakers, web cam, 2 HDMI inputs, size, flash card reader, remote control, keyboard light, and a adjustable stand. Watching blu ray movies looked with 2012 and Star Trek being the showcase titles. Bad Company 2 looked great on this monitor the colors really popped and the refresh rate easily handled all the action on screen.
Summary: im a big fan of this monitor...i have a 22 in monitor in this same line...this one has the webcam and mic built in..plus smartcard reader...handy little light under it too...great monitor have had this over a year now...still love it...wish i could find another one..i love it that much..ive been looking for another monitor and the ones ive found just dont have the features this one does..why do they always stop making the good stuff...who knows..
Summary: Amazing picture quality. The price is hard to beat for this size screen. It has lots of random features like the bottom "task light". All around wonderful product. It works very well for high grade gaming and video apps.
Summary: This monitor is is packed with features. I did not know until i got it that it has a small desk light built in under the front bezel. My previous monitor was a samsung bw226. I was happy with it but got the bigger is better bug. My w2558hc was refurbished and had no dead or stuck pixels. The color are vibrant and clear. Despite the tft panel being glossy it is not noticeable with the monitor on. I have gotten no screen tearing some website have spoke about.
Summary: We paid $550 for this monitor a year ago when it first came out, and once in a while, we had a flicker problem. It didn't seem that bad because we were able to resolve the problem by unplugging the monitor and plug it back in again. Now our monitor is just a year old and we get a constant flicker problem every time we use the monitor for longer than an hour.
