Summary: Hard to beat this monitor. If you want 'true' colors you will need to calibrate this monitor just like you will any other monitor. I hear people complaining that the color is 'off'. Yep, it will be until you color correct it with something like a Spyder color correcting tool and software. You need to calibrate your monitor for different lighting, etc. I've had this monitor for over 5 years now and when/if it dies I'll purchase another one just like it.
Summary: this monitor is great... but I noticed at least one was priced at nearly double to triple its real retail price when bought years ago. don't pay more than $200-$400 max for this.. this monitor came with a very pricey desktop.. and definatley was not $800+ even brand new.
Summary: I've had this monitor since it was introduced nearly 7 years ago and the price was 3x what it is now! Am very pleased with the performance, picture quality, styling, stand; well just everything! The ambient light control makes it easy to use in bright or dimly lit areas and the stand swivels from landscape to portrait. Never had a problem and have always kept the drivers up to date. Keep the drivers updated and use a high quality video card for a stunning visual treat!
Summary: Green Friendly Low Carbon Footprint Perfectly pleased with this gear, easy install, bright sharp clear imaging. HotKeys from my EEE at Native resolution, HOT Best of all, the Lowest power consumption of ALL monitors I polled..... Zero problems since install 4 years ago, will run on cheap inverters, not finicky or temperamental. Con, the speakers are useless, and if you are accustomed to using a super state of the art CRT like my Sanyo, there is no free lunch....
Summary: I love this monitor. Sure there all all the new fancy shamnsy led ones out now but so what. This monitor gets SO bright it's incredible. Cnet had said it's "nit" rating was double that of it's closest competitor. I usually have it at half unless i need it brighter in a game. Crystal clear with no fuzz on straight lines. Playing 3d games with full AA looks breathtaking. If you can find it for a good price this thing is WELL worth the money.
Summary: i own w2408h since 2008 bought it in costco for $600 have never had a problem with it. Started off with HP computer connected with VGA cable computer died. :( i was very upset in fact i spent $1500 on computer itself so than i got a Mac mini in mid 2009 for $500 never had a single problem with it (connected HDMI cable - that let me meet true potential of monitor- multiple of times i had friends touching the screen since 3D effects look incredibly realistic on it) Since i...
Summary: bought this item in store after looking at many monitors in person. Really that the best way to buy a monitor. Looked at variety of monitors & liked the stable base and easy height adjustment. Hooked it up and used it for engineering apps and the occasional game. Didn't note how sharp the display was until I bought a cheap 24" Acer monitor. The Acer is so bad that I've got to get rid of it somehow --or trash it.
Summary: I've used this monitor for PC, HDTV and HDMI-DVD/Blue Ray applications and the picture is unrivaled by even some of the popular HDTVs. This one doesn't have as many different types of inputs like some monitors but when it comes to 1900 X 1200 resolution this one is among the best. The sound is OK but that's all. Then again, two thin speakers like are in this unit are not expected to deliver the best in high fidelity. I got mine as a store demo model for $300 a year ago.
Summary: This is a beautiful 24 inch monitor. I wish I had two of them. The vertical mode does have a limited viewing angle but not many monitors have this feature. I have my PC connected through VGA and an Xbox 360 connected through HDMI. The monitor works great for both and switching between the two is simple. The speakers are not that great.
