Summary: I love the size and resolution of this reasonably-priced monitor, but the power switch went bad after a while. Now, I can't even turn the monitor on because of the switch. Useless to have a great monitor if you can't turn it on.
Summary: I picked this up at a goodwill for $25, definitely worth, League of Legends and Osu! look better than they did on my old laptop screen I know that this item is no longer being sold on Newegg, (being a 2011 model) but I depend on Newegg for reviews on even sold out/discontinued parts, because I trust...
Pros: umm everything?
Cons: no HDMI, but I knew I didn't need it, so that's not going to affect the egg rating
Good resolution but strange flickering when laptop plugged in
23 October 2012
Summary: I have a Dell E6410 laptop and for whatever reason, when the laptop is plugged in, there is a slight flickering of the monitor. It is generally only perceptible when the screen has lots of a solid color (especially in greys). But while I don't really notice it typing, I seem to get more headaches.
Summary: For years now, I've been wanting a second monitor to use in tandem with my primary 24-inch (1920 x 1200) Samsung SyncMaster T240 (which I've had for 3 years and also love). However, I could never quite get myself to justify the cost of having a second monitor.
Summary: This is a good quality monitor. Reasonable price (although you can find a lower price - you pay for the HP brand name). I like the anti-glare surface. The one annoyance is the very, VERY bright blue LED next to the on/off switch - in the pictures, it shows as just a blue dot, but in reality, it's...
Summary: My wife bought 2 of these for me off of her account for my birthday and I must say I'm very happy with them so far. I have them set-up in the dual monitor configuration. The HP-S2031 monitor has very nice color to it and for the price you can't go wrong getting HP.
Summary: I am still in unbelief over the 1-star ratings of this monitor. The fact is this is the best monitor made in its price range and size. The default resolution is 1600 x 900, and with my NVIDIA control panel where I can lower the brightness and gamma, it has the clearest text and is the easiest on the...
Excellent basic monitor for a custom-built budget system
Joseph A. Admire, Amazon
6 October 2012
Summary: I got this monitor 2 weeks ago when I had my new desktop system custom-built. As I was working on a budget, I didn't want to spend a huge amount of money and also have space issues so can't get a really big monitor; thus, on price and size, this monitor seemed the best choice.
Summary: The picture is sharp, it has a good selection of menu options, no dead pixels. I mostly use it as a second monitor for productivity purposes, and the high contrast keeps me from leaning forward and squinting to read normal sized text (12 pt or so) at a reasonable distance.
