Simply Stunning

macgto, Hewlett-Packard

  • Summary: This monitor is far and away the best computer monitor I have ever seen. For under $300, if you are considering a monitor purchase, and you don't buy this one, you are throwing your money away!

for anyone using mac

Georgios Georgiadis, Amazon
  • Summary: For anyone using a mac, you need to know that you might not get the best quality out of the box. When I connected my monitor to my macbook pro, the monitor looked like my old 19" screen from 10 years ago. low resolution, looked awful. i was really disappointed. i played with the settings and calibration but they didn't help. i searched on the internet and apparently, this is a common problem with other monitors as well (like dell).

  • Summary: The larger screen is really spectacular. We are enjoying being able to see the small icons without a magnifying glass.

Great monitor for the price

Dave McGhee, Amazon
16 March 2014
  • Summary: Purchased this monitor to use as a desktop monitor for my 13" Macbook Pro. Connection and setup was instantaneous and there were no real issues. Big clear HD picture and works great in the laptop desktop combo and matches the design of the Macbook Pro aluminum body. Pros: Great picture, easy set up, large viewing area, and style. PRICE PRICE PRICE. 27" LET Monitor for a third of the price of the Apple monitor. Cons: Lack of customization of resolution.

very satisfied with a sale price -- but will the lack of tilt and rotate haunt me?

Amazon Customer, Amazon
6 March 2014
  • Summary: This was nicely discounted. It's a great monitor -- wider than I imagined it would be, which is a good thing. And so far it's not a problem that it doesn't tilt or rotate, but it's still niggling in the back of my mind that it should.

My biggest so far!

Ultrasure, B&H Photo
4 March 2014
  • Excerpt: This replaces a 19" Sony monitor, used as a linked screen. It now sits to the right of this 27" HP. With the small HP bezel, it is only 2" taller than the Sony, with the stands attached, and a little over 8" wider. I am pleased with the HP and side by side, the HP is much brighter.
  • Pros: Great picture quality, Large Viewing Area

Works great with Macbook Pro

James A. Cameron "Jim Cameron", Amazon
2 March 2014
  • Summary: It is elegant, VERY lightweight, outstanding picture, and a great value at 269.00 from Costco. I bought this one and am going back for another. It is true that you don't get built-in sound and FaceTime like you do with Thunderbolt, but I have an iPad and can use it for Facetime on the odd occasion that I actuality use it. And the resolution at 1920x1080 works just fine for what I need it for.

  • Summary: I bought this monitor for my wife for Xmas. The clarity is amazing, the colors. I can't say enough about this monitor. Everyone that sees it is amazed. I'm going to get one this summer when I purchase my new computer.

Almost 5 star!

Alaska907 "Ed", Amazon
20 February 2014
  • Summary: The monitor looks great and is really light weight! I enjoy looking at it when it's off and when it's on. I highly highly recommend you fine tune the monitor for the best possible resolution. I have a Mac Mini and plugged in right out of the box is disappointing. You really have to play with the displays/color/calibrate settings before you can get a good quality resolution. If not, you will see nothing but blurry fonts.
