Green tint appeared on left side of monitor after ~1 year of use.
4 November 2014
Summary: I would love to give HP the benefit of the doubt with this monitor because it has been pretty much the best monitor I've ever used, aside from the fact that it is a tad bright at night, even with the brightness turned all the way down. Unfortunately I can't really give HP much slack because the problem I have now is apparently a very common one with this model. I was lucky enough to get about a year out of this model before the "green tint" finally appeared.
Summary: True, I bought mine from HP directly, but looks like I am not able to write an review. 5 months after the warranty is over, this monitor now has some reddish tint only on the left side and icons show grainy. When I move the icon to right side, it is just fine. I tried another cable no change. I tried another monitor no issue. I found many other buyers that complain about the same thing. HP will not accept that the monitor is DEFECTIVE.
Fine monitor for 14 months and then green tint on ...

Summary: Fine monitor for 14 months and then green tint on left side as well as grainy. I bought the monitor with a HP computer system, and it had a noisy power supply, and just cheap parts other than the MB and CPU. HP isn't putting out quality gear like they have in the past, so I'm going to be avoiding HP going forward. Shame when a company thinks more about their bottom line then the quality of the hardware they sell.
Summary: Got "red tint" on right side of screen after 12 months (it explain why warranty given 1 year only). Seems is common problem for this model. It Is perfect monitor if you have habit replace monitor every year, otherwise avoid it.
Summary: There is another review talking about a "green tint" which appears on the monitor. Mine started having this problem about 9 months after purchasing but it would only happen for a few minutes every so often. Now the tint will not go away and my warranty just expired 2 months ago. I bought the monitor in August 2013 and now it is September 2014 and I have to go buy another monitor. Not what I was wanting. I will definitely not be going with an HP monitor next time.
Summary: Beware !! This monitor only last about 13 months then develops the color and screen problem it's prone to. Before buying one, research the faults. HP has no fix for it except to replace it with a Re-Furb under warranty or tell you to buy a new one. It's a poorly made monitor. Amazon sells other great monitors with better reliability.
Excerpt: I've had two of these. They are great while they last but they don't last long. In less than a year the first developed a red tint on one side of the screen and lost like half the resolution on that side. HP replaced that one with another. The second did the exact same thing but on the opposite side. It is out of warranty so I'm stuck with it. Both monitors were/are connected to a Mac Mini. I won't buy another one of these.
