Summary: A couple of months later, with this brick of a monitor, and a need to purchase enterprise switches, I decided to call HP again. We purchase mainly HP switches at my company, and I really didn't want to tell HP to go away again. The call started off with my speaking to someone in India, but this time, within 10 minutes, I was escalated to someone in America (Canada actually) eventually who could help get me a replacement monitor, since HP can not repair the monitor.
Pros: Quality and clarity of the screen
Cons: HP Tech Support (India based). Wasted a lot of time trying to get through to the right person. As my previous review mentioned, one of the screens arrived with an internal crack, that HP declared was a customer issue and not covered by warranty. I made 4 to 5 phone calls, each time speaking to someone in India and their "supervisor" who only wasted my time. Compared to all the other monitors that I purchase for my company from other companies, the RMA/repair process a...
Cons: One of them arrived with a crack in the display, but no physical damage on the monitor. Talking to HP, they said it's not covered under warranty. I'm never buying another HP product since this is how they treat customers. I spent 1 hour on the phone with someone in India who was arguing with me, a customer, on why HP should not repair the monitor. Funny how all the other monitors (Samsung, Dell, LG, Lenovo, etc.) give me excellent service and replace the monitor immed...
Pros: Beautiful Picture. Nice Contrast (deep blacks) Good Colors Thin Bezel Puts my old monitor shame.
Cons: First one I received had a red line through it if you bumped it (connection was loose inside). HP replaced it for me quickly and have had no problems with it since . Height is not adjustable. Touch buttons work well, but sure I like them as much of physical buttons.
Summary: Great monitor for the 160 I paid for it. Would consider waiting for 1440 p plus if not needed now.
Pros: Nice looking and deep colors. Reflection could be an issue. Great monitor and no problems over 6 months. Only concern was not above 1080. Looks great and glad I went with it until all the 4000k stuff settles.
