Summary: After almost 6 years, this monitor is still going strong. It has several times started showing a strange picture with red vertical lines; luckily it can be fixed by power cycling. Has not done so in the last 6 months -- knock wood. I am taking one star off for that. One point I wanted to address is putting this large screen into portrait mode.
Summary: Super-great picture. The KVM though is useless. I called tech support (HP's support SUCKS) and after escalating from the totally clueless person who answered, some guy from China told me you had to have identical graphics cards in both computers. What a joke! I asked him if he heard himself say that. Anyway, one of my cards died, so I bought an identical one (late model cards, late model computers running Win 7). No difference. Had to buy a $200 KVM.
Summary: There are two reasons to buy a large monitor. The first reason is to display a larger and easier to see version of the same image. The second reason is to display more. If you want it for the first reason, then this monitor is NOT for you. You are better off getting a 22" or 27" monitor. These monitors have the same resolutions as the standard 20" and 24" respectively. Images appear larger on them.
Great picture but it comes with a couple of quirks

Summary: This is an excellent monitor. The native resolution for the LP3065 is 2560 x 1600 pixels. Straight out of the box, the picture quality is top-notch. I have mine set up to show the highest possible color depth, and the results are impressive. Casual computer users may not see much merit in spending a fair bit of money for a big screen, but I assure you that artists and gamers will covet this.
Summary: Comments about HP LP3065 LCD Monitor: This monitor is very wide but works well for me as I am a graphic designer and often have many things up on my screen. Although at first I wasn’t a fan as I thought it would be hard on my back and arm but I have found it to be very productive on my end. I get more done and have more room to work allowing me to keep more things open and totally changing the way that I work! I am much more productive now!
Summary: Comments about HP LP3065 LCD Monitor: Psst, the price here for this monitor is a good one - it lists for as much as $1800 other places. This is great for artists or hobbyists who need a lot of screen space. And consider too that 30" is a great size for viewing movies. I love it.
