1900x1200 resolution with lots of connectivity and a trusted brand

pzeissig, Ebay
10 October 2013
  • Summary: Lots of ports in the back for hooking up to every imaginable device. USB hub. Resolution is 1900x1200, which is greater than most which are only 1900x1080. It's a bit difficult to get the perfect color/brightness setting. The forums give some recommended settings to start on. After sleep, it can take up to a minute to reach full brightness. Matte screen doesn't reflect room light.

I love it

S. Ellsworth, Amazon
30 June 2013
  • Summary: It's bright, big, allows inputs from multiple types of plugs, and together with my older 17" monitor it gives me a huge amount of screen space for arranging various program windows. It works fine with Ubuntu Linux 12.04, including in dual-screen mode. To make it work I did this: In Terminal, type “sudo amdcccle” — and then in the little application that started up, fiddle around to get both displays at the right settings. Restart.

Great monitor, short life

H. Andersson, Amazon
30 June 2013
  • Summary: I have liked this monitor a lot. It came with a 3 year warranty, and died suddenly after 3 years and 7 months - no warning signs, just shut down and died. I paid about $ 550 for this thing. For that kind of money one would think it should have lasted a few more years. So my only complaint is the short life span.

Perfect balance

east-coast-computer, Ebay
23 May 2012
  • Summary: To date this could still be considered one of HP's highest quality displays, beat only by the LP2480zx which costs roughly 6-10 times as much depending on where you get it from. It's two main competitors within HP being the newer ZR24 and ZR2440. The ZR24 has a lower quality panel, a higher response time, and in some cases will create ghosting in games. The much newer LED-backlit ZR2440 has a narrower range of colors.

Great screen for the money

ChrisF, Amazon
22 March 2012
  • Summary: A great, large and versatile screen for the money. Just received mine (purchased from a third party on the amazon marketplace). The only visual shortcoming on my copy is a slight backlight illumination fall-off on the extreme right and left side of the monitor. I don't notice any of the color cast issues reported in other reviews. Regarding the reported color (over) saturation issues, HP does issue instructions for establishing basic calibration to the RGB standard.

Perfect for photography

PierreH 425, Amazon
3 March 2012
  • Summary: Very happy with mine. It calibrated well. Mine does not suffer from any discoloration or tint, some reviewers mentioned. It is very comfortable to use, the way I use it:general office use + photo reviewing and editing. I got mine in Fall 2011, for less $400, and it was a fantastic deal.

Perfect

2005 Astoria user, Amazon
24 November 2011
  • Summary: There are many reviewers that have reported issues with uneven brightness or color being off at the corners of the screen. I just bought this from B&H and I have no issues whatsoever. So, assuming you get a copy like mine, the quality is amazing. I stood in front of this screen, a Dell U2410 and a few other LCDs and LEDs and this one beat everybody else by far. The Dell's blacks seemed very washed off, which agrees with Prad.de review.

Great Monitor! I will never buy another TN Panel.

ussenterprisecvn65, Ebay
8 November 2011
  • Summary: Super bright monitor. It was triggering headaches until I dimmed illumination. Love the 1920x1200 ratio display. My only complaint was 2 dead pixels that I couldn't revive. Both were within a 1/2" of benzel and hardly noticeable. I use it for AutoCAD, internet and an occasional game.

Love my Hp Lp2475w for an external monitor for my macbookpro!

Rick A. Mcelderry, Amazon
16 August 2011
  • Summary: This monitor is awesome: However I don't use it for high end imagine editing like most people that pay this kind of price for a monitor. I was thrilled that it was delivered ahead of the projected delivery date and everything worked right out of the box. This monitor is used as an external monitor on my macbookpro. No set up required just plug and play!

HP LP2475w one the best for the eyes.

MReview, Amazon
23 June 2011
  • Summary: I am one of those people with eyes that are sensitive to LCD monitors. I have used a couple of these LCD monitors including Samsung 213T but I gave up on all of them and returned to my old Sony CRT monitor. Then I read a review here that this monitor is so easy on the eyes. I said well it's worth trying as I really wanted to get rid of my CRT monitor. Well the reviewer had it right.
