Summary: Not the best monitor for doing photographic retouching but certainly cheaper than the ones costing 3 or 4 times its price. and can be color calibrated quite well. I used an X-Rite Eye One II to calibrate it.
Summary: I was concerned that 24 inches would be too large for a desktop monitor in an Home/Office, but I was totally wrong; this a beautiful monitor; do make sure to go the HP Support and download the software and drivers for the monitor.
1900x1200 resolution with lots of connectivity and a trusted brand
10 October 2013
Summary: Lots of ports in the back for hooking up to every imaginable device. USB hub. Resolution is 1900x1200, which is greater than most which are only 1900x1080. It's a bit difficult to get the perfect color/brightness setting. The forums give some recommended settings to start on.
Summary: It's bright, big, allows inputs from multiple types of plugs, and together with my older 17" monitor it gives me a huge amount of screen space for arranging various program windows. It works fine with Ubuntu Linux 12.04, including in dual-screen mode.
Summary: I have liked this monitor a lot. It came with a 3 year warranty, and died suddenly after 3 years and 7 months - no warning signs, just shut down and died. I paid about $ 550 for this thing. For that kind of money one would think it should have lasted a few more years.
Summary: To date this could still be considered one of HP's highest quality displays, beat only by the LP2480zx which costs roughly 6-10 times as much depending on where you get it from. It's two main competitors within HP being the newer ZR24 and ZR2440.
Summary: A great, large and versatile screen for the money. Just received mine (purchased from a third party on the amazon marketplace). The only visual shortcoming on my copy is a slight backlight illumination fall-off on the extreme right and left side of the monitor.
Summary: Very happy with mine. It calibrated well. Mine does not suffer from any discoloration or tint, some reviewers mentioned. It is very comfortable to use, the way I use it:general office use + photo reviewing and editing. I got mine in Fall 2011, for less $400, and it was a fantastic deal.
Summary: There are many reviewers that have reported issues with uneven brightness or color being off at the corners of the screen. I just bought this from B&H and I have no issues whatsoever. So, assuming you get a copy like mine, the quality is amazing.
