Cons: As previously noted the monitor after 9months of us developed an ominous vertical meandering line running down the right side edge of the screen. contacted Hp Support -sent Technician who brought a 20" replacement first day. Obviously-not acceptable. Next round the replacement came with a tag on ...
Summary: Down the line, when I have the energy a 24" Widescreen Color-Critical Desktop Monitor w/ SpectraViewII I't double the bucks but it less the headaches and disappointments.
Pros: I waited almost a year before I decided to write this review. I figured whatever will go wrong, it will do it within that time frame. All in all, I was sold on the reviews.
Cons: Now the disappointing side- It is hard to compensate for color shift-and worse yet is the latest development of a dull dark meandering 1/4 inch line that runs vertically down the right side about 1/2 off the edge of the screen-and it doesn't go away.
Summary: Text does look out of focus as noted by one reviewer.
Pros: Comes with all sorts of cables.
Cons: Died after using for 1 day adjusting the RGB values. The displayport cable had a service advisory 2+ years ago and they still ship it with that fault cable. Tech support took all my info and said they will review my case in 48 business hours.
Summary: All I can say is that if you order one, I hope it's good the first time. I guess HP has discontinued this model, I bought one of the last two directly from amazon about a month ago. It came with a dead pixel, and HP has since sent 4 to my house, each one progressively more broken and ramshackle.
Awful pink tint on the right - HP does not try to fix it

Summary: First I have to write that I do like the general quality of this monitor. Build quality is good, and the colors are good. However, as others have said this monitor has a pink tint on the right side.
Summary: The text on these monitors is extremely atrocious and although you get used to it after a few HOURS, the next morning you are reminded how bad the text really is. My 20/20 eyes just kept trying to refocus all the time and it gave me headaches. I really couldn't put my finger on what is wrong.
Pros: The monitor is extremely beautiful and usable for every day photo editing and movies after calibration.
Cons: My first one from another merchant had a pretty big piece of dirt or dust between the backlight and the screen in the center of the screen. I sent that one back for an exchange. My second one had a pretty big piece of dirt or dust on the left side. Neither had any bad pixels. Both had pretty seve...
Summary: Everybody in photography forums have been talking about how good and affordable this monitor is. I purchased this to replace my old Dell 2407WFP that only has 72% NTSC color gamut with HIGH EXPECTATIONS. Guess what?
Summary: Just going to post this as a comment on HP quality. I purchased this monitor at the end of 2011 and it just died. So it had a about 4 yr life span. Don't really consider that a good life. I won't buy HP again
