Summary: All I can say is that if you order one, I hope it's good the first time. I guess HP has discontinued this model, I bought one of the last two directly from amazon about a month ago. It came with a dead pixel, and HP has since sent 4 to my house, each one progressively more broken and ramshackle. I thought it was going to be a good quality product, and in all fairness, the color is really fantastic if you calibrate it... but I'm not sure if this is worth it.
Summary: I purchased 5 HP LP2475W monitors for my business. 4 of them had multiple dead pixels - one has as many as 5 bad pixels! Most appeared as black dots, while a few were stuck bright pixels. I have owned over 20 LCD computer monitors over the years and I have never had any monitor with even a single dead pixel. HP must have had very poor quality control in the period these were manufactured, otherwise I'm sure many other reviewers of this model would note the same problem.
Awful pink tint on the right - HP does not try to fix it

Summary: First I have to write that I do like the general quality of this monitor. Build quality is good, and the colors are good. However, as others have said this monitor has a pink tint on the right side. What amazes is most is how common this is, to the point I'm sitting here wondering if it exists in all the monitors or just in some of them. I ordered this monitor from Amazon and the tint was there. I called HP, they sent me a refurbished one and it was also there.
Summary: I just purchased this monitor and it's going back. Problems galore: - A prominent dead (not stuck) pixel. - Heavy over-saturation tends to make this monitor unusable without calibration software, even for something as simple as looking at photos. - The OSD menu buttons at the lower right make odd noises, don't work reliably (constantly missing pushes or registering double pushes), and seem overly fragile.
Summary: I did a lot of research and decided to buy this monitor based on numerous reviews, especially for the price range. I bought this monitor on amazon and it arrived with a bent base, cheaply made. I hooked up the monitor to a power mac g5 using the provided dvi cable, it took the monitor a bit to register the signal, and when I did get an image, it was really bad. There were dancing red/green pixels everywhere, and dead ones.
Summary: Everybody in photography forums have been talking about how good and affordable this monitor is. I purchased this to replace my old Dell 2407WFP that only has 72% NTSC color gamut with HIGH EXPECTATIONS. Guess what? It arrived with 1 stuck red sub-pixel noticeable on black background, and 1 deal pixel. Very disappointed. I thought the manufacturing standard for IPS panel is supposed to be better than those cheap TN-panel LCDs. I guess I was wrong.
Summary: Monitor bekommen, ausgepackt, angeschlossen, kaputt, eingepackt, zurückgesendet. Schade.
