Nice to find a good square monitor for productivity
17 April 2014
Summary: It is insane that most of the monitors today are 16:9 movie aspect ratio. I don't want to sit on my computer and watch movies. I want to get work done. A paper is long, not wide. Compounded by Microsoft's new "ribbon" top menu schema, wide monitors are just not for productivity. This HP monitor is great! It is bright and sharp, reducing eye strain for long hours of work. The adjustments are above and beyond the competition.
Super Heavy Duty yet Magnificent Color and Definition

Summary: Remarkably sturdy, Superb definition and super-heavy Duty. I got the HP LP2065 to match it to my HP Workstations 4600 and just as all the HP workstations this monitor is built as a freight train. I need my equipment to stay on 24/7 and this monitor has not let me down. I do lots of graphic intensive work and this has been a plus. Combined with the HP workstation is a marriage made in heaven.
Summary: This is an excellent monitors. I already had 2 so when my son's monitor died I needed another one. This model was made with two different panel types. The one I got on eBay is an S-IPS panel, the best in my opinion. The other panel type is a PVA. PVA panels are pretty good when compared to TN panels but they don't have as good of colors or the wide viewing angels that S-IPS panels do.
Summary: Since I do not know how to touch type I removed the whole stand thing and just set the monitor on my desk top. It is plenty bright (almost too bright!) and quite clear with text of any size. Since I just use it for plain text/browser stuff the connectors are fine with me. If I used it for DVD/Netflix/etc I may have issues but for me it is fine.
Summary: 20 inch 4:3, 1600x1200 IPS Pivot, swivel, VESA supported, decent OSD USB extensions the only complaint would be, no up to date connectors. Since these monitors are quite old, HDMI or Displayports are not supported. But its all good. Overall Happy with the monitor. The images are crisp, The response rate is excellent, viewing angle is A+.
Summary: My wife and I both have these great 4x3 LCD panels and prefer the 4 x 3 format. The HP 2065 is simply the best LCD I have used. I we have three of these and they are all working perfectly. I purchased the latest to add to my desktop as a second screen. Now I really like having two screens at 1600 X 1200 each and enough real estate on each that I can have several windows on each screen.
Summary: This monitor may seem a bit expensive, but compared to other S-IPS panels it is not unreasonably priced. Picture quality is good, the screen is bright, the buttons have a nice feel to them, the stand is solid and very adjustable, and the ability to use 2 digital inputs is very nice. The manufacturer provides all the cables you need to hook the monitor to two DVI-D sources, two analog VGA sources, USB, and power.
