Nice to find a good square monitor for productivity
17 April 2014
Summary: It is insane that most of the monitors today are 16:9 movie aspect ratio. I don't want to sit on my computer and watch movies. I want to get work done. A paper is long, not wide. Compounded by Microsoft's new "ribbon" top menu schema, wide monitors are just not for productivity. This HP monitor is great! It is bright and sharp, reducing eye strain for long hours of work. The adjustments are above and beyond the competition.
Summary: I bought this monitor to use in a PLP setup along side my HP LP3065 monitor. I previously purchased the Dell 2007FP, which was completely terrible. the picture was yellowed like old parchment and looked like an antique next to my IPS 30inch from HP. This monitor, on the other hand, is able to keep up in just about every department.
Summary: I bought this monitor for two reasons: 1) at my last job I used an HP flat-panel monitor (though not this model) and it seemed quite reliable and 2) I wanted a monitor with a 4:3 aspect ratio because the graphics card in my old Dell Dimension 4600 favors this aspect ratio in the resolutions it delivers. And anyway, I like the kind of screen real estate a 4:3 aspect ratio delivers.
Super Heavy Duty yet Magnificent Color and Definition

Summary: Remarkably sturdy, Superb definition and super-heavy Duty. I got the HP LP2065 to match it to my HP Workstations 4600 and just as all the HP workstations this monitor is built as a freight train. I need my equipment to stay on 24/7 and this monitor has not let me down. I do lots of graphic intensive work and this has been a plus. Combined with the HP workstation is a marriage made in heaven.
