  • Summary: Bought it as a backup as my original monitor was getting tired. Proved to be a good idea in only two weeks. Didn't expect such quality from a refurb. As an extra, can't beat the price!
  • Pros: Bright and clear image. No dead pixels.
  • Cons: None so far (8 months after purchase).

Used & Abused - Not Refurbished

Mr. C., Newegg
18 April 2015
  • Summary: If you're using this as an occasional use, back-room monitor that no one will see it is probably suitable for that purpose. Otherwise the quality of the "refurbishment" is so poor that it is unsuitable for any situation where it will be visible.
  • Pros: Comes on when plugged in, picture quality is ok, tilt-swivel- height adjusting stand is awesome
  • Cons: Power button doesn't work - can't turn on/off, but it does come on when plugged in. Filthy! Like "used on an outdoor construction site" filthy! Had a layer of "mud" across the entire screen surface. Looks like someone made a very poor attempt to wipe it down and just smeared dirt across the scree...

Looked good at first

Anonymous, Newegg
7 April 2015
  • Summary: Normally refrub stuff is good, still time I wasted $100.
  • Pros: It lights up and does all functions you would expect. Except... See Cons
  • Cons: After a few days it good dim, dim dim. It is about 1/2 as bright as my other monitors on the system. I even changed out video cards and it doesn't help. Also changed the video input type, still dim and on the GREEN color side.

Great for price

Thomas E., Newegg
23 March 2015
  • Summary: For $75 shipped I have no complaints. Its only 1680x1050 but its a 22" wide screen monitor that displays great and all buttons work and no apparent damage to the bezel like some users have stated.
  • Pros: I bought 2 of these monitors. Got one with some reservation but after using it I was surprised at how good it looked and how well it performed. Paid $75 and it was well worth that price. They come with a power cable and a VGA to VGA cable.
  • Cons: The first one had some lines running down the screen and it was very annoying and I almost sent it back. Then I tried a DVI to VGA cable I had lying around and it fixed the problem. I'm not sure if its the cable or my GPU but it was fixed by changing the cable. The second I used the same type of ...

not impressed with refurb

Adam W., Newegg
4 March 2015
  • Pros: The second refurbished monitor I received has a functioning power button. The bezel was damaged around the buttons but all appeared to work properly.
  • Cons: The first refurbished monitor I received had a broken power button. The RMA process was straightforward, although the queue was almost an hour. This particular monitor has a base that clicks into place and no instructions on how to fold it again. This made sending the monitor back confusing and d...
