Awesome Monitor for Computers with a DisplayPort Output.

Summary: PROS: - Monitor is super slim! - Beautiful 1080P picture. - External power supply, so you can easily replace it incase of a failure. - Specifically designed only for the latest type of video connection; DisplayPort. CONS: - None. ***IMPORTANT NOTE*** Please note that this is a monitor that will "only" accept a DisplayPort connection, so your computer must have this video output. If not, then this monitor is useless to you.
Summary: If you have a display-port output, this monitor is a great choice. I've been using it daily for about a year and a half and found no problems so far. The ONLY bad think about this monitor is that it has only a display-port input. So you will need a display-port output. If you don't have that, give up, you'll need an expensive adapter that needs to be plugged-in ...
Summary: The cabling is a big issue....this monitor comes with just 1 display port. If you want to have dual monitors - you will have to spend another ~100 bucks for the adapter.... Also, The display port is located on the side of the monitor, which protrudes from the side of the monitor...not ideal if you want to have 2 monitors next to each other....Overall, good looking monitor.
Summary: Do not buy this crap monitor. Don't even accept it as a gift. Unless you have a ***NATIVE*** DisplayPort output on your device, you *WILL NOT* be able to get this piece of s*** to display. It will detect. It will load the driver. It will show as "working properly." But even with an HP docking station or a StarTec active adapter that costs more than the monitor, the HP Elite L2201x is a complete and total turd. Smash it. Shoot it. Drive your car over it. Piss on it.
Summary: This monitor is fantastic acting and fantastic looking! I have absolutely no issues with mine at all. I have my computer set to go to sleep pretty quickly and have never had an issue waking it, most of the 2, 3, and some of the 4 star reviews get demoted for some sleep issue but I would imagine it has to do with their settings as mine has performed flawlessly.
Summary: Sure the cable is a pain in the ass, but damn this monitor is amazing. When I got this in May 2013 for $100 I couldn't have been happier. Love the screen and I love the price I paid for it. By the way, for mac users you need to buy a displayport to minidisplayport(thunderbolt) cable and or adaptor and it should work like a charm. **Update: Feb. 1, 2014** I've had this monitor for a little more than half a year now and I still love it!
Only if you have an apple computer or an "ACTIVE" displayport on video card

Summary: Strongly recommend to read: DO NOT buy this unless you have an apple computer or an "ACTIVE" displayport on video card. I have a Macbook Pro and hooking this monitor to it works beautifully. I tried to buy the "converters" from BestBuy to convert HDMI to DisplayPort, which cost me another 20$ after which I found out that a simple cable is not sufficient for this monitor.
