Summary: Sure the cable is a pain in the ass, but damn this monitor is amazing. When I got this in May 2013 for $100 I couldn't have been happier. Love the screen and I love the price I paid for. By the way, for mac users you need to buy a displayport to minidisplayport(thunderbolt) cable and or adaptor and it should work like a charm.
Only if you have an apple computer or an "ACTIVE" displayport on video card

Summary: Strongly recommend to read: DO NOT buy this unless you have an apple computer or an "ACTIVE" displayport on video card. I have a Macbook Pro and hooking this monitor to it works beautifully. I tried to buy the "converters" from BestBuy to convert HDMI to DisplayPort, which cost me another 20$ after which I found out that a simple cable is not sufficient for this monitor.
A little bigger than a small portable but works well.

Summary: I needed a portable monitor that supported faster video than the USB portable monitors. This one uses display port. This one is a little bigger but works well if you have the display port. It supports HD. The adjustments on the controls are minimal but I am happy with it.
Summary: Grat item! I want to connect with serfes pro. This monitor including connecter, but I need more conecter in this cace. Another connecter also not expensive. I can use conveniently serfas and this monitor.

Summary: Image is great, and definitely can be made to work with an adapter. I am using it with a new Macmini/lion OS, with a thunderbolt to displayport adapter http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00A3PG7MW/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1, which cost $10. Most stores won't have this adapter, you can buy them online just make sure that you are getting the right one: it is called Displayport (don't go to the macstore looking for it they won't have it) the jack is lopsided...
Summary: Great monitor, but you your computer need to have DisplayPort out as this monitor only has DisplayPort input. Most Macs have both DisplayPort and HDMI so you are a happy camper if you have a Mac. You will need to get an Active Mini DisplayPort to DiplayPort cable though. I found one for $7.99 and work great. HDMI wont work and there are no HDMI to DisplayPort converters available.
Unbelievable monitor for the price...if you have the right connection

Summary: As other reviewers have pointed out, just make sure you have the ability to connect to DisplayPort. If so, get this monitor. Quality is excellent, picture is amazing. You'll love it, and can't beat the price.
Summary: Pros: - The design of this monitor is fantastic - it's sleek, slim, and well-built. I'm pretty sure it'll look great with any modern computer setup. - The actual display panel is equally good, with crisp details. Blacks are deep, colors are vibrant (especially compared to the Acer I had it next to for a few months), and viewing angles are WIDE. "Cons": I use quotes because these shouldn't be problems if you do your homework before buying.
