Excerpt: This is the best monitor I have ever used the color is just too accurate to pick. Much batter than the ips display on Mac. The only drawback which isn't a big deal is the lack of mini display port and pip mode only works with composite cable but not like display port and dvi but no one will use pip...
Excerpt: I use the monitor for general tasks but selected this one in particular for use with Lightroom, Photoshop, and video editing. It is a professional monitor with many adjustments and a lot of performance related information readily accessible.
Pros: Adjustable Color Spaces, Appears To Be Well Built, Excellent color
Excerpt: Bought 3 of those a few days ago. Two out of three monitors had bad pixels (5 dead; 1 green sub on). HP's response was impresive, they sent a tech on site to take care of exchanging the two défective units.
Excerpt: As a digital artist I've been searching for the elusive perfect monitor that displays all colors and values beautifully in every circumstance (and has to cost less than a car) for awhile, and I think the HP DreamColor LP2480zx comes pretty close.
Summary: A splendid color trustworthy monitor when paired with the Dreamcolor Color Calibration Solution (B1F63AA) (200-350$). I could not be happier with the price (700-800$) and quality. I did consider the 4K HP alternative, but the price was double, and for most of my purposes, unneeded as of yet.
Excerpt: This monitor is a classic; although first released at least four years ago, the product remains an accurate and versatile imaging device for photo and video work. I use it primarily for PhotoShop still-image editing.
