Summary: This monitor is huge and the glossy screen gives rich deep colors especially during movies. However there are a few drawbacks 1. the screen has a buzz/hum 2. the screen has an aqua green/blue tint that i think maybe caused by the glossy screen material 3. the pixels are so big that the screen just doesn't seem sharp/crisp. 4. two dead pixels out of box. Overall the odd tint, which is clearly obvious when comparing to my old 24" acer, is why I will be returning it.
Summary: First thing I noticed upon opening the box was that the monitor has a significant amount of glare, which may be distracting when viewing dark images. (The minimal glare-reduction may actually help with clarity though.) I found that a TN LCD panel such as this one must be viewed head-on; images are tinted red when viewed at any angle other than dead center.
Summary: The monitor is much more of a HDTV than computer monitor. At distances under 3feet the lack of pixel density shows. But for less than $400 it fits the bill. My complaint and this really bothers me is the sales sticker HP attaches to the top face, you know the one that advertises the features. This was very hard to get up, it came off in small pieces and left glue on the monitor. I have to clean it off with a solvent.
Summary: I purchased the HP 2710m as a package with an HP Pavilion Elite HPE. I have plenty of computers at work and this computer frankly was purchased for looks to do simple things at home. Along the entire upper edge of the computer was a sticky advertisement, which I have attempted to remove. I hve manged to remove the label, but there is now an ugly sticky residue along the edge. The other three edges of this beautiful monitor are shiny and black.
Summary: Over all for the price you can beat this monitor, now that i got it it seems like a lot of monitor to be up so close, you almost have to be more than two feet away, or you may want to invest in some blue blockers, but there is sensor on the monitor that automatically adjusts the brightness depending on how much light there is in your room, which helped a lot because this monitor is SUPER bright, but i think i prefer the two monitor set up for my specific music recording...
