Summary: Monitor worked great for a year and 3months until a white line appear across the bottom of the screen. According to what I have found on the internet this is a defect and may be the start of the monitor LCD failing. Of course the warranty is only of year. The other thing I did care was the advertising stickers that covered the sides of the monitor when I got it. I never was able to get all of the glue off. Disappointing on both counts.
Summary: Great monitor until after about 5 months I got a bright red pixel stuck on right in the middle of the screen. I'm going to contact HP and see if they will do an exchange. Edit 6/29/11: HP customer service was excellent. They replaced the monitor for free. My refurbished monitor has been working good. Hopefully I don't have the same problem in a few months.
Summary: This product doesn't work with macs. If you have a Mac - do NOT buy this. The quality of the image is super-pixelated and hard to use. A lot of high strain. Good for watching movies, but not for anything else. Also - Amazon's return policy for this was horrible and took $80 from me. I wouldn't buy a monitor from Amazon ever again.
Summary: I bought a 2710m from Amazon. It's being returned. I bought a second 2710m from Amazon. It's being returned. First off, Amazon was very willing to take back the units--as Amazon has always been. Second, the good news is that every feature on the monitor which I have tried so far has worked well. The picture quality--and I do a lot of photography work--seems very good. The bad news is something very silly which got past HP.
