Summary: When I first saw the price for this 27" monitor, I thought this is too good to be true. After reading the reviews, I decided to take a chance. My eyes aren't what they used to be, so the resolution that some claim isn't high enough for this size monitor wasn't an issue.
Summary: This is my first Amazon review, yet I have used my fellow Amazon user's reviews so frequently in the years past, I feel compelled to start contributing! I have only had this monitor for 1 day, so feel a little premature writing this.
Summary: The 2709m is a huge display ... but know what's it best suited for before you buy it. With a 1920x1080 resolution on a 27" screen, you need to be sitting back pretty far from this (ie: more than a typical desk offers in terms of real estate).
3 months out of warranty, 27" monitor has a horizontal white line

Summary: Purchased this in Spring of 2010 and have been pleased with the image. A thin white line appeared last night across the middle of the screen. Not the laptop or the video card (tried another monitor and HDMI cable). Called HP and "sorry, out of warranty.
Summary: I'm at my puter all day, most days, so a huge, perfect image is what I need, and what the HP 27" delivers. Great monitor, super-easy controls, fantastic HD picture, not one bum pixel, highly recommended!
Summary: Matching monitors might be more of a challenge than anticipated. Didn't give much thought to the fact that the color and white balance differences would bug me, but after spending a couple of hours trying to match them, including use of the computer's calibration setting, I gave up.
Summary: It is a bit stupid how difficult the top of the display sticker is to remove. It is easy if you do it right and near impossible to do otherwise - at least on the few monitors I've dealt with. There are actually quite a bit of returns based on messing up the finish or frustration.
