HP thinks customers owe them loyalty - this is what I think . . .
Summary: It's official. Two HP 2509 monitors - one lasted 3 years and the other lasted less than 4 years. While it is a beautiful monitor and the colors are vibrant, it doesn't last long enough to justify the price paid. Went with a 27" Asus this time.
Summary: Really like this monitor--big, bright, great resolution. I read other review that suggested changes to manufacturers setting, but I tried his, then reverted to mfr's settings as they appear just perfect for me. It was easy to install and has not given me a moment's trouble.
Lasted <4 years. Doesn't play well with Mac computers.

Summary: Bought two of these, based on reviews from Amazon customers, for a home office. Originally used with a PC but switched to using a MacBookPro. Couldn't use HDMI ports with the Mac--screen resolution was awful. Had to use the VGA connection instead. Both monitors have failed within 4 years of purchase. Started with intermittent screen blackouts and progressed to just not working. These are the last HP monitors I will ever buy.
... to our Mac Mini in the kitchen and I love the visibility

Summary: We keep this attached to our Mac Mini in the kitchen and I love the visibility. This is really a good size for the number of pixels that it supports. The image is crisp and the color seems true and the overall power usage is pretty low. The power off functionality works as described and this truly to me is just a good quality monitor. This is NOT a Vesa monitor though, so be aware of that.
