Summary: I have two of these now, will get a third soon. My office can get a lot of sunlight during the day, even so the contrast on these monitors keeps image quality superb. I do graphics work & design, and play video games :) IMHO performance has been perfect for me, especially considering they weren't overpriced one bit.
Summary: I use it for gaming and hd viewing to basic Internet surfing, note.... I bought the dell ultra-sharp version for like $ 700 plus dollars it was very good BUT it did not have a matted screen, this monitor has a matted screen and works in very bright rooms and does not reflect light. This one to ME is better than the dell high end monitor that I returned. this one was less $200, a way better value. the gaming is awesome and everything......
Summary: I've had this monitor for over a year now and it is great! It is very large, which offers a nice amount of space to do things for multitasking. I use this monitor with my custom Built PC for anything from browsing the web to production tasks to gaming. It serves my purposes very well and I have not had any issues with it whatsoever. The only thing that I can think of that would make this monitor perfect is if it could display 3D content like movies and games in 3D.
Summary: This is probably the best 23" IPS monitor value out there and the it is an HP monitor. I paid only $169 at Best Buy before tax and my daughter loves it. Compared to my HP LP3065, this bargain priced HP name brand is a steal.
I use 3 on the same computer and now I can't imagine not having three monitors! !

Summary: This is a very good monitor that is LED backlit. I use 3 of them on one computer using Eyefinity Multi-Display and it is great. Most of the time I have all three monitors on when I work and it is nice to spread your open programs around to view several tasks at once. I am using 1920 X 1080 resolution. The contrast ratio is very good at 3,000,000 to 1. The images are crisp and clear and the response time is 7 milliseconds.
Summary: Moved to a dual monitor system and I wanted monitors with an IPS panel display (best for photo editing). I was a tad sceptical because of the relatively low price, but higher end IPS monitors can run $500+ each. Since I was buying 2, I thought I would try the HP 2311xi, and it turns out that I made a good decision. This is a great monitor!
