Summary: I've had this monitor for a while now. It works, but now that I've learned about backlight bleed, this is by far the *worst* monitor that I have ever seen in terms of backlight bleed. it comes from all sides and looks horrible at night. I have a second monitor now and the difference is like night and day.
Summary: I bought this monitor and only 2 years after i bought it, it is out of warranty and the LED back-light is blinking they want me to buy a new one. My Samsung monitor was bought used and is still working excellently. I will never buy hp products again unless they do somthing to correct this.
Summary: I got 2 of these monitors about 13 months ago for less than $100 from a local office store. One is still working and the other went bad last week around 13 months just when the warranty is out. First, the resolution went very grainy and the color is way off. Then the hdmi and dvi ports don't work anymore. Fortunately, I did not pay too much for them otherwise I would be very upset. I have a 5 year old Dell and Acer LCD and they are still working without any problems.
Summary: I got this monitor on Black Friday 2011. I use it at home for school work. The first thing I noticed was the brightness was pretty low. I increased the brightness setting all the way to the max and it is just acceptable now. It also did not have speakers, but I have headphones, so it wasn't a huge issue. About 6 months into owning the monitor, I began to have issues with the screen flickering and the HDMI port not working.
Summary: This monitor is terrible. I have one exactly like it purchased about 4 months ago that works great. This one has a bad circuit and has lines through the tv. My problem is that I threw away the box it came in figuring it would work like the other one. When I discovered the problem, I emailed/called the company and they replied they do not have a replacement and said they would have to charge me a re-stocking fee if the tv was to work properly.
Summary: Just wanted to write a review XD! Oh and by the way.. I've got one of the HP 2311*23 widescreen.. it's not worth it lol. It'll work good but after a few months and going to get messy. I'm an OCD person so yeah maybe that's the reason.
Summary: I purchased this item to be used with my macbook pro. I had used a previous hp monitor with the computer, and was very pleased. This time no amount of tweaking could produce a good image. The text was blurry and colors were awful. After an hour + on the phone with HP, I decided to return it. Won't go back to HP for nothing.
Summary: Bought the HP 2311x backlit LED monitor to replace a 15" CRT - primarily to allow side-by-side display of windows, and to cut back on 12 hour a day electricity costs. Even though this $250 monitor sells for about $150 at Amazon and office supply stores, it is no bargain even at that price.
Summary: It is an absolute shame that HP has decided to take a giant step backwards in their monitor development by removing VESA mounting as an option for their new monitors. My older 2310 monitors are great and they are mounted on a VESA arm mounting system but this is no longer an option with the 2311 generation of monitors. Good luck trying to find 2310s - they appear to be sold out everywhere.
