Pros: I bought two of these monitors from Wal-Mart and I've owned them for almost 2 years without any problems. Primary usage is more screen space for my 3D applications, Maya and Softimage, but I occasionally play games and watch DVDs with them.
Summary: [...] After discussing my needs and my budget, the salesperson recommended this unit. I feel he listened well, and made a quality response to his customer. The set-up guide was not as clear and simple as I had hoped. The set-up option that was best for my specific computer (DVI, VGA or HDMI) was not clearly stated. In fact, I had set-up the unit as a VGA monitor before I understood that there were other options. Even so, the monitor is now operating as a first rate tool.
Summary: this actually was the first time i ever purchased anything at walmart. and i was more than satisfied with my purchase. i found it of excellent quality and value, so far!. The purchase experience on the internet was very easy and fast. Not a small feat for me at my age and not that computer savy. I hope all my future walmart purchases will be as smooth and as satisfying for my, a new customer.
Summary: HP has created a lot of bang for the Buck in the 2009M LCD monitor. This 20" monitor has a native resolution of 1600 X 900 and is simple to setup, no problems and no dead pixels. The Dell desktop system I bought this for has Windows XP SP3 and a basic Nvidia analog video card with Nview software. I needed to do nothing more than plug in the monitor, set the refresh rate and resolution - quickly got 1600 X 900 resolution. There is no need to use the included HP software.
