Summary: I really liked it. I bought it for a second monitor for my husband to use with his 15" laptop. He wants to use it for genealogy, and needs several windows open at a time. It was just a bit too small (that is why I gave it a 4). He kept it for a week just to make sure, and decided to get the next size up that was 3" bigger. The bigger size worked best for us. If his laptop was a 17", we might have kept it. We had to pay twice the price to get it 3" larger.
Summary: The HKC monitor works exactly as advertised. I am using it as my main monitor on my desktop system. I am very pleased with its footprint size, its wide screensize, its font crispness and the brilliance of the color images.
Summary: This monitor is not as good as I had hoped it would be. I bought it for a recently purchased Windows 8 machine and it serves the basic purpose of a monitor, but I keep having to adjust the display from lighter to darker, or darker to lighter depending on what I am viewing. The default setting is far too bright for web pages and only acceptable for videos.
Summary: The proof on this will be in the long run. I needed a new monitor for my camera system and so far this works quite well. The picture is good and for this use, it works very well. Let's see how it holds up in a year.
