Summary: I got it pretty cheap and was favorably impressed with the picture. I put in on a desk that's against the wall, without the base, and it takes up no space at all, gives me a giant picture. I use it as a TV replacement, watch videos etc. on it seated 5 feet back and it works great. Watched the super bowl on it and it was like HDTV. BEWARE that if you have an older computer you may need to upgrade your graphics card to use any widescreen, happened to me.
Summary: Bought this on a whim, Hanns.G is, or at least was not a mainstream manufacturer when I was shopping for displays. Reviews looked good on the Egg so i picked it up for I think 175 about 18-24 months ago. Came with NO dead pixels and still has none. Perfect size, though I might pick up a second for programming/design. With 22" you would probably be fine with 2 windows open. Anyway, seems like decent color, though I have not played with the settings too much.
Summary: I run a small business am using a Mac Mini as a server. I wanted something cheap just to use for the server maintenance, so I found this inexpensive monitor. I was just floored with the display quality. No dead pixels, sharp display, decent sound quality. The Mac Mini has no trouble driving this display. I have been very pleased to get such a great monitor at a great price.
Summary: I purchased a new Hanns 19"monitor after 3 years with my Sharp 17" LCD I was excited about getting it but was not happy with it when it arrived. The sharpness of the picture quality was not what I expected, Blurred words and not sharp and clear as others I have seen or the sharp I had. This coud be due to the old computer I have and not being able to connect the Video Input cable on it. Not sure.
Summary: This monitor is an awesome buy. I had no problems with my monitor, dead pixel-wise. The only complaints I have to add are those that others have already voiced. The stand does not securely fasten to the monitor, it just sort of sits there... a good push and down she may go. The menu buttons on the right side aren't confusing to use, my other monitors have used a similar setup: Menu activates menu and also activates a menu item, up/down change values, menu backs out and...
