Summary: It's the perfect larger screen. Before this I was using a 17" screen, this larger size is so much better for my work. When it comes to adjusting colors/tint and brightness it's just fine, but if you want to change the angle or height, physically, of the screen there isn't much leeway.
Summary: I'm a college professor and spend a good many hours in front of my computer. I write four to five hours a day, occasionally edit pictures to accompany magazine articles. Eye strain is an ongoing concern. This is my second wide-screen monitor--and my best. Photos I'm editing are big enough, clear enough, accurate enough in terms of color that I can make the right choices in Photoshop.
Summary: The only negative is that during startup, the screen goes black and does not show the Dell blue line at the top of the screen used to do a complete like new computer restore. I would buy this monitor again in a minuite. Keep your old monitor for recovery from a complete crash.
Pros: Excellent even picture, Lightweight, Sharp Image, Vivid Colors
Summary: Excellent quality with DVI connection; cable not included though. Very big screen! Color great with settings adjustment--light weight for its size. The 16:10 aspect ratio replicated my laptop screen layout exactly the way I wanted.[...]. A great buy for the price!
Summary: This is a great monitor the only problem i have with it is the start up time takes longer than most. The 1080i makes for a pretty good picture for a 22" screen. 1080p would be rather pointless at this size. I was a little nervous about the 16:10 ratio since i have never seen one before if proved to work out well. Over all great product at a great price.
Summary: After using the monitor for about two weeks, I am very happy with it. It is a huge upgrade over my old 19" 1280x1024 LCD monitor from 5 years ago. It is lighter, cheaper, has better resolution and can play DVD movies in their native aspect ratios. The drawbacks I've noticed are that it's a more difficult to change the brightness than my old monitor and that it was not Plug & Play on my Vista-based computer; I need to install the supplied driver (after fooling around,...
Pros: Cost, Resolution, Size, Weight
Cons: Driver required for Vista, No one-touch controls
Summary: I use this monitor on my personal computer. I do lots and lots on it. I work on a year book online for our school. The pictures are clear and crisp! The colors are very accurate which is a definite plus.
Summary: Outstanding product for the money.I've been waiting for years for an LCD monitor to come down to affordable prices. Went from a 17 inch CRT to this 22inch. Completely enhanced my computer life.
Summary: I had a Tyris 19" non widescreen that went out on me so I got this to replace it largely because of the great price- verrrry slightly shorter usable screen than the old 19" (maybe .25" less?) but extra on the sides for widerscren-0 thought I wouldn't like that but it's very useful for multi-window or multi-pallette apps like the GIMP.
