All in all it does the job

  • Excerpt: I have recently bought this model for a bargain £250 new, and let me start off by saing I am not disappointed, it's widescreen allows viewers to sit back without actually having to squint to see the screen which isn't very good for the eyes. Aswell as that it is fairly simple to setup as long as you know how to setup a monitor.

Good performance for low cost.

  • Excerpt: Had this monitor for about a year now and are very happy with it. Its nice looking and has a small footprint when sited on the desk. Straight out of the box it was a case of connecting and away we go. No dead pixels and a solid vibrant picture quality. Technically wise the resolution max is 1440*900, the contrast ratio is 700:1 and the response time a respectable 5ms.
  • Pros: Reliability

A great value for money buy

  • Excerpt: THE STORY We moved house and when I unpacked my monitor it looked fine, when I plugged it in and set the computer up it didn't work properly. Googled the problem and the techguy came up with the answer when the symptoms were explained: it's ****ed. Having spent so much time hassling BT to get the broadband set up, being without due to lack of monitor was going to be a big problem, so I set off in search of a cheap (I'd just moved house remember) flat panel monitor with...

Second time lucky

  • Summary: I bought this monitor from Amazon and was quite impressed - the 1440*900 resolution is a joy, and it's nice to be able to use DVI input. However, it developed a stuck sub-pixel within a few days. I got it exchanged and have had no problems since.

Great for the price, beware of dead pixel risk though

  • Summary: For the price this is a great monitor. Picture is sharp and clear using DVI. Contrast seems best when turned down a bit from the default 100. According to the PDF manual, the response time is 5 ms, not the 8 stated here. That would all make 5 stars, but I have two dead pixels in the bottom right of the screen, which don't seem inclined to start working yet, and I've been using the monitor for a week now.

Gutes Bild, aber der Ton ist bescheiden

  • Summary: Der Hanns-G HW191D ist ein guter 19 Zoll TFT Monitor.
