Summary: Well I saw this big honking monitor for $180, and I just couldn't pass it up. I noticed a few reviews suggesting that the base was unstable, and I just kind of ignored them. But wow were they right. The stand is, in a word, ridiculous. It literally has half the footprint of the stand on the 23" Acer monitor that I upgraded from. Fortunately my desk has a hutch, and I'm able to shove one side of this monitor up against it to stabilize.
Pros: It works, it's cheap, very thin, and light for its size
Cons: flimsy, unstable stand, stuck pixel right out of the box
Summary: For the sale price of $200 it's an excellent deal. Of course I would have preferred for not to have any bad pixels. Even with all its flaws I feel good about the purchase. At 27" a 1920x1200+ resolution would make for a bigger desktop and crisper text. It seems to me that intermediate resolution (and price point) is sorely missing from LCD monitors.
Pros: Good color. Videos and BluRay movies look fine. It has even backlight with only minor backlight bleed. Excellent price on sale.
Cons: Box is not designed for shipping and Newegg doesn't put it in a shipping box so it may arrive damaged. One bad pixel. Noticeable pixels. Noticeable tearing in games despite its 2ms claim.
Pros: -easy to install and setup -great menu and easy to move around in it -descent quality for gaming and watching videos
Cons: -the speakers are not great so i had to get some external speakers which makes my experience fabulous with the pc that i built -it is kind of shaky but i dont get earthquakes here so im fine with it
Summary: I ordered 3 of these panels; Size/price ratio is unparalleled if you can get these on sale. Within 24 hours of being plugged in, one of the monitors PSU blew out. RMA'd the panel and it's replacement had a patch of stuck RED pixels. The SECOND replacement should be here tomorrow. Another of the three monitors received also showed a brief thin blue vertical line on the right side of the display. This has only happened once, over a month ago.
Pros: - Thin bezels look good in 5760x1080 - Good color accuracy out of the box for a TFT display - Brightness
Cons: - POOR quality control - Warranty sticker on lower front portion of bezel - I/O in rear of panel hangs low. This causes your AC connection wires and DVI/HDMI to be seen from the front of the panel, regardless of how you route the wiring. This can be a bit of an unwarranted eyesore for anyone using a triple monitor stand.
Pros: Amazing monitor!! Quality is great, perfect size, and a great price!
Cons: I've been ordering from newegg for over 6 years now and this is the first time that I have gotten something shipped to me so poorly. I am very disappointed that this monitor isn't packaged up in a box just like everything else. It shouldn't be sent in just the monitor box! This is the second monitor I purchased of this one and thankfully the first one was perfectly fine, but I just received my other one yesterday and the bottom was all beat up. Hopefully this one work...
