Summary: I'm very pleased with this screen. Brightness is just what I need; it could be used in a home or work setting, but I'd recommend it as a work monitor. The refresh rate (2ms) is what brings it ahead of the field - an overlooked stat by many with high resolution. The lack of inputs is part of the point - you're not paying for those extra addons.
Summary: Ok to start off I did buy this used from the Hannspree distributor though it was fulfilled by Amazon. I saved a few dollars thinking I would get a so-so monitor with a dead pixel or two. Instead it arrived in the box looking like it was new off the line. Opened it up and found the only flaw was a small scratch on the base. Screen was perfect, all cables except HDMI were included. Speakers work but only recommend for maybe web browsing or typical windows sounds.
Summary: First and foremost, this is a great monitor. Picture is better than average (my Dell U2410 is my benchmark here). Dont buy this monitor if you believe you will get dynamic sound out of it. The sounds, for lack of a better word, is terrible.
Summary: I replaced my old Hanns G 28.5" single monitor with a pair of these babies and I am loving it. The monitors are a breeze to put together and look good once you get them dialed in. I game on them and they perform well, I don’t notice any screen tearing or anything. There are no dead pixels either but I am not even sure if that’s something you need to watch out for on LED monitors.
Summary: The monitor looks good and can be bought for less than $250. The main thing you should know is that the speakers are horrible. If the fact that this model has speakers is making you consider it, know that they are beyond useless. They are too weak to hear dialogue properly, and any music sounds like it is coming from a radio that is tuned between stations.
Summary: Bought this to go with my new Ivy Bridge build, A little afraid of the quality at first but was very pleasantly surprised. I would not only highly recommend but would not hesitate to buy more products from Hanns-G In the future.
Pros: Large View, Bright Screen, Great Text, Beautiful Video And Gaming Graphics, Quick Response Time No Ghosting, Picure Really Pops, Thin, Light In Weight, No Dead Pixels.
Summary: This screen has an awesome size/cost ratio. Cheap and big. Screenwise, I have nothing to complain. It's bright, has a lot of options, colors look good. The installing was confusing though. The booklet showed a picture that basically said ''Just put it in''. I see a lot of people on the internet that said you shouldn't buy this screen because it doesn't fit well on the base. This is true, if you followed the idiotic instructions in the manual.
