Summary: The brightness settings comes all the way up. Make sure to turn that down, otherwise your bulb life will be greatly affected.
Pros: HUGE Screen I was absolutely stunned when I saw this thing, it is beautiful. Much bigger than my old 22" ACER. I thought it would only be just a bit bigger, but NO!
Cons: Stand came with something broken off. I was scared that I wouldn't be able to use the stand because of this reason. Not enough to knock off an egg because the stand still works, I'm kind of puzzled as to what broke off exactly. NO ill effects.
Cons: Died out of the blue after almost a year. Panel was still under warranty but Hanns-G is absolutely convinced I damaged it physically. Not one thing could have come in contact with the monitor and there are no physical signs of damage. Last time I buy from them if nobody steps forward to rectify this.
Summary: First and foremost, this is a great monitor. Picture is better than average (my Dell U2410 is my benchmark here). Dont buy this monitor if you believe you will get dynamic sound out of it. The sounds, for lack of a better word, is terrible.
Pros: Worked as expected right out of the box. Default colors are on point. Blacks appear black and whites are bright and vibrant. I use this monitor mostly for gaming - It works great for what it is intended for! I managed to pick this monitor up for $230.00 after discount. For this price this monitor is a steal!
Cons: It isn't a 30" for $230.00? Goofy warranty sticker. No "real" con's to speak of, yet.
Pros: First, I am an extreme technophile. I have literally waited over a year just to play a game at a constant 60fps with no stuttering, no tearing, no ghosting, no mouse lag, etc. I want to play games at their absolute highest capacity.
Cons: Sound is so 'bad' it literally seems 'broken'. See above.
Pros: Monitor was cheap, bought it on sale for only $220 shipped. Lots of physical space and small bezel. Colors look pretty good after only 20 minutes of calibration. No stuck pixels. Pretty fast panel (although held back by 60 hz refresh rate). Really good contrast so I never strain my eyes reading scientific journals (for those who don't know, they are usually black and white with very small text).
Cons: Really bad backlight bleed on the lower-left side and a bit on the top-middle. Image quality is worse than my old high end 24" 1920*1200 LCD. Stand is pretty mediocre, but that was to be expected.
Summary: Bought this to go with my new Ivy Bridge build, A little afraid of the quality at first but was very pleasantly surprised. I would not only highly recommend but would not hesitate to buy more products from Hanns-G In the future.
Pros: Large View, Bright Screen, Great Text, Beautiful Video And Gaming Graphics, Quick Response Time No Ghosting, Picure Really Pops, Thin, Light In Weight, No Dead Pixels.
