Hanns-G HL269DPB

Werner P., Newegg
28 October 2014
  • Summary: I bought some 22 inch of this brand as well and I am equally delighted.
  • Pros: Probably the best monitor I have ever used. I bought 2 when on sale and then bought another 2. They are used in dual monitor setups for graphics and web work. Colors are accurate and it's just shear joy to work with these monitors. If New Egg gets some more in and they are on sale again, I will buy more!
  • Cons: only that they are out of stock

Great deal for the price

Chad K., Newegg
26 August 2014
  • Pros: This has been a very impressive monitor, all the specs are what gamers look for. Given its not an Asus or an Acer it has performed like one. I got it for 150 when it was on sale. Can't wait till it goes on sale again to get another one of these bad boys.

  • Summary: It seems like lately the off brand LCD's last just as long as the big brands.
  • Pros: Excellent price, construction, size, brightness, features, & the speakers don't suck!
  • Cons: Mine didn't have a DVI cable included.

Good, solid monitor

Joseph H., Newegg
13 August 2014
  • Summary: I bought this monitor on sale at NewEgg for only $150. That's a great price for a large format monitor, and this is a great large-format monitor. And bright too! I scaled contrast down to 50% and brightness down to 40% to make it comfortable to view. The stand is non-adjustable -- and short -- but it's very sturdy. Prop it up on some phone books so you can look straight into it without straining your neck and you'll love it.
  • Pros: Big, bright screen, sturdy mounting and stand, great price.
  • Cons: Non-adjustable stand, no DVI cable.

Excellent

Richard M., Newegg
28 June 2014
  • Pros: Big screen, LED backlit, pretty good picture quality
  • Cons: Th only thing (not enough to remove an egg) is the resolution supported. It only supports the same as my 22" supported, you would think it would get more.

Excellent Monitor

David H., Newegg
12 March 2014
  • Summary: I've had this monitor for a couple of years - it has worked flawlessly - and always produces an excellent, clear picture, no pixel dropouts, and lots of screen real-estate. Seriously good monitor for the money.
  • Pros: Stunning color, depth, clarity
  • Cons: none

does what I need it to

Scott J., Newegg
27 February 2014
  • Pros: It certainly works, looks decent. Usable, large, 1080p monitor at reasonable price.
  • Cons: Vertical viewing angle is poor, frequently find myself adjusting the tilt of the monitor. Stand is quite large, looking for better way to mount. Lighting isn't quite even, and the actual contrast (800:1) isn't great. I'd heard really good things about Hanns-G monitors, and was disappointed.

A viable monitor option.

Jane H., Newegg
24 February 2014
  • Pros: Nice picture/color quality when directly in front of the monitor. While there are better monitors on the market, this one is definitely a viable option for the screen size and price point.
  • Cons: The viewing angle is pretty much directly from the front. Of course this is where most people will be while using this product, but if you're like me and lay down to watch movies on the computer, the colors become severely distorted from all other angles. The built-in speakers don't produce loud-enough audio. There are certain times while playing games or watching movies that I have to strain to hear what is being said.
