Summary: I purchased one of these a while ago and it's been fantastic, being used all day, six days a week in my office. After two years of heavy use it started to develop interference like fuzziness on the display so I called Hanns-G and spoke to an extremely helpful & polite British customer services representative who replaced it free of charge with a brand spanking new one (next day delivery) as it was within its three year warranty period.
Summary: Just a quick warning, i bought 2 of these monitors a little over a year ago, 1 is working perfectly, but the other started having screen glitches etc, after contacting hannsg they were very unhelpful, saying they would either repair the monitor or replace it, i asked for a replacement, this took a month, the replacement was also faulty, as it was a refurbished monitor, now after 3 months i have had 4 monitors from them, all refurbished most of them even worse than the...
Summary: I must admit I was a little apprehensive when ordering this as I have read a bag of mixed reviews. I was half expecting dead pixels or perhaps really poor viewing angles. Of course, I ordered the screen anyway as my previous one had a really annoying stuck pixel that I couldn't stop looking at! I'm so glad I did, this screen is simply outstanding. No dead pixels, and the view angles are great!
Summary: All in all a very good monitor, the picture is nice and sharp and there is no noise or bleeding. What I would suggest people do is put on sunglasses when you first switch it on out of the box, the brightness is set far too high and needs to be adjusted. Games look great and there is no ghosting at all on fast moving games with high framerates. The 5ms response time advertised here is incorrect, it's 3ms so even better.
Summary: The screen is enormous, almost too big. If i had the money back from this i would have bought a better quality, better make, 26inch screen. Ive used a X-Rite Eye-One Display 2 to calibrate the screen and its still not perfect. The screen simply cannot maintain accurate colour levels - Red,Green and Blue values fluctuate quite a bit allowing the correct setting of 6500 kelvin to be rather hit and miss.
Summary: Just bought this monitor this week and am thoroughly impressed throughout. I upgraded from an 22" Acer Crystalbrite (which are very vivid) so wasn't expecting this to have a better picture and I can actually see more colours with this monitor. It has made me replay Crysis again! It's fantastic.
Summary: this is not a working workhorse, if u do graphicdesign, but for anything else.... just perfect, for this money. contrast ratio could be better of course, but for gaming and movies no probs at all. using it mostly for cubase and other music soft and its just amazing how big is. just as i said, colours like from tripy cartoon and thats it. u just cant go wrong for this money. and it looks like from starwars epizode 4)))).
Summary: Bought 4 of these for the office. Turned up after 48 hours and from opening the box to having them set up took only 10 minutes. Power cable, HDMI cable and Sound cable were the only 3 connections needed (later 2 to the computer) - unit comes with a selection of cables. Screen instantly recognised by computer and did not have to adjust anything to get optimum viewing. Cannot rate this highly enough.
Summary: Had the monitor since Nov 08 and still very happy with it. At first, I was looking for a FULL HD TV to use as a monitor but I stumbled across this and it ticked most of the boxes. - 28"(27.5" really) : decent size. - one HDMI port: easily get a HDMI switcher for more HD sources. - FULL HD: ideal for PS3. - one VGA: basic PC connectivity, useful for PC without dedicated GPUS The monitor looks sleek and can't fault the picture. I currently use it with a PS3 and PC.
