Summary: In all honesty, I came across this model of monitor by accident. I bought my first one at Goodwill, in ‘LIKE NEW’ condition. I was so impressed with this monitor and its black color that fits any room or office, and the fact that it is a 17-inch with 1280 by 1024 resolution. Also the fact that it has a built in power supply, means no unsightly transformer cord is needed. This monitor uses a standard PC computer power cord.
Summary: It is the perfect size and works flawlessly. Easy to use controls for brightness, color and contrast. I bought it because it fit my needs and I have had Gateway products in the past and they are reliable. Aside from all that it fit my budget.
Summary: When I got the monitor, I turned it on and it had a good picture. I did notice a dark oval shaped dark spot in the middle of the screen. I did some research and the problem appered to be bad pixal's. I tried everything I could do and it still has a problem. Looking at other listings for this monitor a lot of them said they also had dark patches and/or same type of problem. I am making the assumption that this is a common problem for this model.
Summary: Needed a thin monitor because of space and my grandson (4 yrs old) loves computers and I did not want him on my personal computer. Like - it is a Gateway which matches the CPU, and it is larger than advertised, and does a good job. Dislike, sometimes it is too sensitive with the "touch" buttons and changes from English to Chinese with a slight miss-touch of the finger. Other than that, all is good.
Summary: My old monitor was bulky and I need a new one ,didn't have time to get out and look ,so one nite I got on Ebay and was so pleased , I love it.When it came in it was so easy to hook-up everthing was colored code and I was up and running in minutes, love it and would do it again.A great look for my office.
