This Monitor is a TEN Egg !!!

daniel g., Newegg
25 July 2013
  • Summary: If You don't have an apple cinema and you put your monitor next to this monitor, You'll beat your monitor with a hammer because it will look like terrible next to this and this thing has more I/O connectors than any monitor on the planet. Mine has been up near 24/7 for 7 years.
  • Pros: 7 years without any issues, The touch panel works flawlessly, More connections than a martian space ship. After 7 years I have not seen a monitor under $1000 that looks half as beautiful as this one. I have tried about every brand, Asus, Dell, HP, Vision Tek, and constantly looked at what the ele...
  • Cons: They don't make it anymore :^( Don't ever let some know nothing tell you that a dull panel is better than a glossy panel at anything but not letting the guy next to you see your work on an air plane !

Best Monitor ever

Curtis B., Newegg
3 November 2012
  • Pros: This monitor is great. I bought 2 of these and had a friend buy a third, we have all had it for over 3 years, and they are still running strong.
  • Cons: One of my monitor's buttons were kind of hard to trigger, but that worked itself out eventually.

Wow for WoW

Eric G., Newegg
25 January 2010
  • Summary: I would prefer a Matte screen surface which has lower glare, however almost all new displays are glossy so there's not much choice there.
  • Pros: 1920x1200 Resolution is awesome. TONs of desktop space. Color is great right out of the box Monitor has a Rapid response time setting of 2ms PIP mode is handy
  • Cons: Sound output is only for proprietary sound bar. It would be nice to output sound from HDMI source to other speakers.

Great Monitor for Great Price

Erik S., Newegg
8 January 2010
  • Pros: Paid $180.00 out the door for a 24" 1920x1200 resolution monitor. Ignore any bad reviews. They couldn't be more inaccurate. The menu system works good and 0 dead pixels.
  • Cons: It's a TN Panel but for the price it can't be beat.

Great monitor! I don't know what the bad reviews are on about

Anonymous, Newegg
8 January 2010
  • Summary: Overall, this monitor is really good. I got it while it was on sale for $180 with free shipping and would say it is completely worth every penny so far.
  • Pros: This monitor is fantastic, I upgraded from a 16" CRT, so that might be the reason for some of my enthusiasm, but this is the best screen I've ever used. Has a high resolution(1920x1200) 24" is HUGE for a computer screen. I am able to have multiple things open at a reasonable size without feeling ...
  • Cons: The menu was originally in Chinese. Easy enough to fix, if it happens to you and you can't figure it out, follow these instructions: 1. Hit the menu button. 2. Hit that same button again. 3. Hit the 2nd button from the top until you get to the item with the wrench and the screwdriver, then hit th...

Edvin

Edvin D., Newegg
6 January 2010
  • Summary: I just got my second one in the mail, and I am trying to get a third one so I can play with the Eyefinity my ATI 5870 offers. I highly recommend this monitor even though I am not a huge fan of Gateway computers.
  • Pros: I have had this monitor for nearly a year now, and I have had zero issues. I think that this is by far the best looking 24' LCD on a budget. I manly use this for gaming, and the picture was OK out of the box; nevertheless, I went the extra mile of tuning it just a tad bit for my liking.
  • Cons: While the construction is great the monitor is very wobely on this stand, and I can't say I tried messing with it since my desk is very sturdy at the moment.

Great monitor

Joshua R., Newegg
6 January 2010
  • Summary: Monitor appeared oversaturated on Windows 7. I lowered the digital vibrance in the NVidia Control Panel, and it looks great. The refresh rate is locked at 59hz at the native resolution, although I don't notice much of a difference. The manual says that a VGA cable is included, but not a DVI cable.
  • Pros: Large and clear. Got it discounted in the holiday sale. The touch buttons are nice and responsive. Displays great with any of the three inputs.
  • Cons: The OSD is a little slow and glitchy. Sometimes an option won't switch when you change a setting and exit the menu. The OSD menu you get when pressing the menu button is not the main menu, but a quick menu. This was initially confusing to me as I wondered why there were so few options. Auto adjus...

I don't understand the bad reviews.

Anonymous, Newegg
6 January 2010
  • Summary: I just saw the average review of 4 and decided to buy, but then after I purchase I saw so many bad reviews, then I got worried. However, everything the reviews said weren't true. Here's my experience: DVI-DVI cable included VGA-VGA cable included no HDMI cable (didn't say there was one though) no...
  • Pros: Very Bright, no dead pixels, everything worked how it should. Paid $179 during the sale. EzTune software supplied on CD is nice to change monitor settings.
  • Cons: Touch panel on the side is a little unresponsive, but no reason to drop the rating. Can't really swivel down. The most is goes down is 0 degrees (straight), so if the monitor is above you this could be a problem. But you can really swivel up, like 30 degrees.
