Summary: My monitor is a few years old now and it still works fine. I like the glossy look of it better than the other satin style monitors. /// My monitor stand broke after a year and a half, and I got no help from Gateway. They did not have a replacement stand, and could not care less about this customer. You would think that gateway could find a comparable stand somewhere in their vast stocks, but they just did not care..
Summary: I have had a Gateway 24" monitor for 3 years. Initially it worked well - in fact I loved it. After about a year, it began to develop vertical bands of color that would remain on the screen for 15-20 minutes. I called the Gateway help desk to find out where I could download an updated driver. The help desk person told me that since I did not have a service contract, they would not tell me where to go to download an updated driver.
Summary: This product is nice for TV watching. But not up to snuff for Gaming. I am awaiting mitigation. FHD2402 is NOT a FHD2400. Vendor should not misrepresent the product being sold. Do not ship the wrong product. A 1920 x 1200 is a better resolution than 1920 x 1080. I cannot hang this one from the wall nor use the premium stand (4 bolt pattern on back) that the correct monitor would have allowed. Using the VGA connector (only graphic cable that worked) old technology!
Summary: The service I received from merchant was superb. Processing the order, responding e-mails and processing the return product was fast and painless. I will definitely do business with them again.
Summary: Color shift, dead pixel, and blacklight bleed made me return this monitor after just 2 weeks. The blacklight bleed got worse with time and the dead pixel drove me crazy. The color shifting issue was especially annoying because it made this monitor feel like a downgrade compared to my old 20incher. Video was not fun to watch with the above mentioned issues. Playing Quake Live on this fast monitor was awesome though. Too bad i use my monitor for more than just games.
Pros: Adjustable, Easy Setup, Fast response rate, Sharp Image
Cons: Blacklight bleed, Color shift, Dead Pixels, Inaccurate Colors
Summary: Though refurbished, it arrived in like new condition. The only complaint was that the software cd was not in the box. I called the vendor who gave me the link to download. PIP is such a great option. Should be on all bigger monitors. I like to hook up my external TV tuner, VCR, etc. to this monitor and I use it as my TV in my study. It has an input for everything. Picture is great. Love the "ultra bright" glossy monitor. Hope it continues to perform as it does now.
Summary: I liked this monitor so much that I had to buy another video card and have 2 side by side. If you want to use this one for graphic design, you will have to keep monitoring the colors since the screen makes everything pretty vibrant and may hide some dull spots in your designs.
Summary: My first fhd2400 was a floor model in perfect shape. After about 3 months it got a vertical red line on the screen, going from top to bottom. Chatted online with Gateway tech support, they advised me to send the monitor to the service center for warranty repairs, which I did. I got it back in about a month (after a couple of calls and some complaining about their slow service). The monitor has an above-the-average amount of bleeding, more than 1 inch on every edge.
Summary: I owned this Gateway FHD2400 for over 6 months now. The color and brightness are awesome. The touch menu is quite cool to use, but a bit sensitive. Overall, it is an excellent 24' LCD monitor compared to the rest.
I'll Tell You Why "You" Want a 24" Monitor! This Monitor!

Summary: Wow Picture! Multiple Inputs! Ease of Use! Does Everything! & Big Enough! If you can find this, now discontinued monitor, I recommend that you buy it! This is the only Gateway product that I like! All is positive about this monitor, except: the factory brightness setting is a little high, it makes the monitor radiate heat, so you might want to lower it (easy to adjust in the menu). All the rest is great, ALL!
