Great Quality construction, but lacking display
27 March 2014
Summary: I was very impressed when taking this thing out of the box, very well thought out design and construction. However I was really disappointed in the display quality of the screen. This is not a IPS panel, but cheap TN panel, which shifts colour and brightness drastically depending upon viewing angle (YouTube IPS vs TN). Also, there is a shift in the white balance to blue, and no adjustments to correct in the menus. Actually, there is no menu at all!
Summary: DVI inputs are too finiky. It will not accept most adaptors or converters. Accepts direct VGA or DVI inputs only. Would not display most usb to DVI or Display port to DVI adaptors. Not Ideal for ddual display using one laptop. You really need to have either: two computers/laptops or a graphics card that that can push out to two seprate displays. Splitters don't work even when using active adaptors. Also tried using a docking port with my HP Elite book.
Summary: Just received this item today and I am very impressed. Easy setup. Easy installation. For me it was plug-and-play, and I am no computer guru. It worked for me without having to use the installation CD! The packaging was impressive, too. Comes with all kinds of adapters so as long as your computer supports two monitors you should have no trouble getting it hooked up. The only downside I have found is the monitor stand does not telescope.
Summary: Ok before i start i want to mention its my first time double screening. short story long it made me get newer powersupply and graphic card and im still having troubles and stuff, HOWEVER techinal support is amaizng they are 24/7. there amazing and they helped me alot. NOW THE REAL PROBLEM STARTS HERE: its kinda low and bad for games and sometimes the video i watch act werid. The screen is heavy and kinda hard to carry around. this screen is more for business and stuff.
Summary: Tech support not very smart. Told me I couldn't hook up dual monitor cable to a laptop docking station. I had figure it out myself. Secondary monitor goes black occasionally and I have to turn off monitors to get them both back on. It's happened twice in 1 month of 50 hour a week usage.
Summary: Works as advertised! It is really handy to use when working multiple projects; cross-referencing, or doing research as I do quite a lot of. You need to make sure that your computer's video card supports dual monitors and that you have a second monitor port or have one installed.
Summary: For not being in the monitor business EVGA has done an excellent job on both the design and function of this product. It set up without a hitch, works flawlessly, and best of all my boss loves it. He says he's about 300% more productive not having to tab back and forth between spreadsheets, email, etc. to get his job done.
