Excerpt: Purchased 3 of these DELLS to replace my aging fleet of 5 Samsung 305Ts. I use these 30 inchers primarily for NVIDIA surround gaming. I have these paired to a high end PC set up. First of all, I love these DELLs for the bright and sharp colors they produce.
Pros: Adjustable, Easy To Set Up, Lightweight, Sharp Image, Vivid Colors
Summary: I received the version 3 yesterday. The display is so sharp and beautiful. Very nice matte screen. I'm a photographer, and I calibrated with a Spyder 4. The factory calibration looks almost exactly the same as after my calibration. The factory brightness a lot higher, though.
Excerpt: I got this one after searching for good and not absurd costly monitor for the new Mac Pro. It was not easy to make it work fine. First issue I found was the position of the ports, under the monitor. Not an easy access and really hard to see what you are doing.
Summary: The large display size is a definite plus. I upgraded from the Dell UltraSharp 2709wb with topped out with a resolution of 1920x1200, a bit low for a monitor of that size: for my needs, this was somewhat underutilized screen real estate, for others, this may be fine.
Summary: Ordered it from Amazon March 16, 2014 and received it the 18th. It is Revision A3 and works very well, as advertised. Why four and not 5 stars? If you are a professional who needs accurate color, it needs to be calibrated.
Excerpt: Decent monitor. My only issue so far is trying to get plain text as readable as possible when using full 2560x1600. I suspect I just need to keep playing around with the color and other settings.
Pros: Adjustable, Easy To Set Up, Lightweight, Vivid Colors
Summary: This is a GREAT monitor. The color and the crispness and CRAZY good. When I first plugged it in it was a little tricky. It used some kind of stealth mode to report it was running the correct resolution, but it was not.
Summary: I got the mac pro 6 core, and needed monitors. I looked at the 4K and yes very cool, but it makes the font really small and I cant see it anyway. So I need to make the size larger on the 4K to see it so why buy the 4K.
Excerpt: I use this monitor mainly for image editing and I purchased based on reviews and the fact it is a 16: 10 vs. 16: 9 ratio. I am more than satisfied with the mornitor. Quirks and/or I am/was too stupid to figure out: 1) Nothing in the literature describes how to adjust the height.
