Terrible color shift

William Kristiansen, Amazon
19 September 2014
  • Summary: I was very disappointed. This monitor is marketed to photographers however the colors on the screen significantly shift toward blue/gray as the viewing angle changes even slightly away from straight on. When editing photographs it is critical that colors are solid from corner to corner. Even if I were not a photographer I would not be happy with this monitor as the color shift is so pronounced.

On a PC this monitor is awesome - for a Mac, I don't know who to blame, Apple or Dell?

  • Summary: This monitor is useless if you want to use it on a Mac. I tried all kinds of things and it won't work. Very depressing. Maybe I will succeed one day, but I keep questioning why does it have to be so difficult? Consumers are at loss all the time. Neither Dell nor Apple really care. So be careful. You are always better off buying Apple monitors if you are a Mac user. If you are a PC user and need a good low grade professional display, this is it.

A01 still, backlight bleed, pulsing colors.

IzDlang, Amazon
26 November 2013
  • Summary: Just got it today from Amazon, and it is A01 manufactured April 2013. I took the chance and hooked it up anyhow. Lots of backlight bleed on the corners, especially the lower right. Started up a game on it.. and it kinda pulses light to dark, think I saw somewhere where that is one of the things that the A01 does as part of the defect.

How is this considered a pro-level monitor?

B. Groulx, Amazon
17 October 2013
  • Summary: I made the mistake of ordering this substandard monitor. The value for the money is NOT there if you are looking for colour accuracy and responsive calibration. There is NO brightness uniformity. Is it a high-resolution large panel? Yes. If you were a casual user, you'd love this monitor... but you could get another brand for half the price. I thought I was paying for something I could rely on for accurate photo-editing.

A few flaws

panpeus, Amazon
17 July 2013
  • Summary: It randomly starts flickering like seen in this video, it also severe back light bleeding. the touch panel on the right side is not very responsive, i have to press it several times (3-5 times) with my entire finger (instead of the tip). For the price of this monitor I do not believe this is acceptable.

Could be a Great Monitor if Dell Corrects a Serious Flaw

William O. Wood, Amazon
6 July 2013
  • Summary: I bought a Dell U3014 Ultrasharp Monitor based on my experience with a pair of five-year-old Dell 3008WFP monitors and a brand new Dell U2713H monitor. In my opinion the U2713H is the best monitor Dell ever made for professional use. It was so good that I chose the U3014 to replace my old 3008WFP monitors. The specifications are identical with the only difference being the larger size.

it's good tending to mediocre.. and it failed after a few weeks of use.

saldavonschwartz, Amazon
29 May 2013
  • Summary: I also own an Ultrasharp U3011 (the model this U3014 replaces) and use the old 30" Apple Cinema Displays at work, so I'm comparing it with those. The Good: - thinner - runs cooler - more energy efficient - more modern ports - looks crispier than the old U3011 and Apple Cinema Displays, mainly cause at last they are using a less aggressive antiglare-coating. The Bad: - the LED "backlight" is really the cheaper technique of LED sidelight.

Solider Monitor - Auf den ersten Blick

Das ist egal, Amazon
13 June 2014
