Summary: I tried to drive these monitors with a desktop that has been running 6 Dell U27xx and U30xx monitors for years. The system has Mini-DP outputs, so using the Dell-supplied cable (Mini-DP x DP), I had to use the DP-in on the monitors. No-go. After some experimentation, I figured out that the MINI DP in on the monitors works, so I was able to solve the problem by buying mini-DP x mini-DP cables to replace the Dell-supplied cables.
Pros: Good monitor overall, but no real substantive improvement over the former model, and prices now low enough to justify the many problems I and others here had with this model. I have several U3011s (prev. model) and like them better
Cons: DisplayPort input doesn't work on either of two monitors recently purchased; Dell support useless as usual.
Summary: Just got it today from Amazon, and it is A01 manufactured April 2013. I took the chance and hooked it up anyhow. Lots of backlight bleed on the corners, especially the lower right. Started up a game on it.. and it kinda pulses light to dark, think I saw somewhere where that is one of the things that the A01 does as part of the defect.
Summary: I made the mistake of ordering this substandard monitor. The value for the money is NOT there if you are looking for colour accuracy and responsive calibration. There is NO brightness uniformity. Is it a high-resolution large panel? Yes. If you were a casual user, you'd love this monitor... but you could get another brand for half the price. I thought I was paying for something I could rely on for accurate photo-editing.
Summary: Length:: 0:28 Mins It randomly starts flickering like seen in this video, it also severe back light bleeding. the touch panel on the right side is not very responsive, i have to press it several times (3-5 times) with my entire finger (instead of the tip). For the price of this monitor I do not believe this is acceptable.
Could be a Great Monitor if Dell Corrects a Serious Flaw

Summary: I bought a Dell U3014 Ultrasharp Monitor based on my experience with a pair of five-year-old Dell 3008WFP monitors and a brand new Dell U2713H monitor. In my opinion the U2713H is the best monitor Dell ever made for professional use. It was so good that I chose the U3014 to replace my old 3008WFP monitors. The specifications are identical with the only difference being the larger size.
it's good tending to mediocre.. and it failed after a few weeks of use.

Summary: I also own an Ultrasharp U3011 (the model this U3014 replaces) and use the old 30" Apple Cinema Displays at work, so I'm comparing it with those. The Good: - thinner - runs cooler - more energy efficient - more modern ports - looks crispier than the old U3011 and Apple Cinema Displays, mainly cause at last they are using a less aggressive antiglare-coating. The Bad: - the LED "backlight" is really the cheaper technique of LED sidelight.
Soweit so gut.
