Cons: 1600p didn't look any better than 1080p i put a 1080p next to a 1600p no difference. I made sure the res was at 1600P screen looked a little blury when viewed to close i was sooooo dispointed. NOT WORTH $1000
Anti reflective coating creates noise & sparkles everywhere

Summary: I rarely write reviews on Amazon because I buy a few hundred products each year and most are great. There's rarely a time when something is so bad that I take the time to write a review. This is one of those times.
Summary: My glasses were so scratched I blamed them, hence my perfect review (previous).
Pros: As I said in my previous review.
Cons: The Anti-Glare matte finish on the screen is GRAINY. It hurts my eyes and gives me a headache. If I look at the white space for a few seconds, I feel like I am looking at a 2-D illusion. Depending on the angle, I often see red/blue/green outline on some text. I'll gladly void the warranty if I am...
Summary: Very disappointed with this product. A shame considering how many cool features the U3011 has. Alas, for such an expensive monitor I expect a display that looks professional and doesn't look like it's been sand blasted. RMAed it and don't miss it one bit.
Pros: Excellent color uniformity, great viewing angles, gorgeous colors, images are razor sharp at the native resolution of 2560x1600. Lots of inputs and 1:1 hardware pixel scaling is AWESOME, I can run my PC at 1600p and scale the display down to 1080p for my PS3. Capacitive touch controls are very ve...
Cons: Build quality very disappointing considering the steep price tag. The stand is made out of plastic, it's sturdy enough but it just looks cheap. And the anti-glare coating is HORRIBLE. I cannot fathom how anyone can find this monitor remotely usable. Due to the aggressiveness of the coating, the d...
Summary: The selection of materials on the front of this monitor, especially the combination of glossy, matter, black, and silver plastic, gives it a, well, very plasticky look. The casing on the NEC is of course is also made of plastic, but the finish there makes it look like a professional piece of...
Pros: Large display area Good connectivity
Cons: I strongly advise against purchasing this for professional photo or live motion editing. This monitor has a deeply recessed bezel (over 1.2 inch) with a glossy finish, which is exacly what you do not want. Anything bright displayed on the screen near the edges will reflect off the bezel, creating...
Summary: I got one of these monitors last week for the large amount of real estate. But after having it for a week or so, I have to say its really NOT worth the price. It has an annoying buzz when the backlight is at a usable brightness which is VERY distracting.
Summary: When it arrived it had a number of defective areas on the screen. It wasn't serious enough to make me return it outright, but over time they make me more and more irritated. Anyways, good monitor, but make sure you are happy with the quality out of the box.
Summary: It basically works, except that every once in a while, it freezes, and I have to power-cycle it by unplugging and replugging it. It sometimes insists on taking in input from a different port, and the buttons to change the input don't work.
Summary: First of all, the monitor is great. I don't complain about the product quality. I complain about Amazon's missleading product information and their lack of control on their stock (selling old models as new). 1) I ordered this monitor on 4th May for £876.96, arrived 8th May.
