Summary: I bought this product as a 2nd monitor for processing images. My iMac 27" provides a glossy LED screen while the Dell a flat mat finish. The monitor controls are easy to adjust and the 30" format is sufficient for my imaging work. However, the monitor was purchased used and has a technical issue where it goes directly into sleep mode when turned on. To correct this, I have to switch off the monitor and switch it back on again.
Summary: When it arrived it had a number of defective areas on the screen. It wasn't serious enough to make me return it outright, but over time they make me more and more irritated. Anyways, good monitor, but make sure you are happy with the quality out of the box.
Summary: I can easily compare, side by side in portrait mode, two 8.5x11 pages. Text/video quality is extremely good and with the Dell sound bar attached, you have a great viewing/listening device. Highly recommend the product.
Summary: Purchased both the U3011 and the U3014, the U3014 had a super sales price at the time. I received the U3011 first so I had a good amount of time to spend with it. The U3011's older technology was a bit of a turn off but after using it for a while I got used to it really fast. The U3011 is a beautiful monitor with great color (once it warms up). 4K content looks absolutely fantastic, as does 1080p movies and high resolution photos.
Summary: Really happy with the monitor. Yea it is kind of pricey but it out weighs the benefit of how crisp this monitor is. It is really nice on your eyes and you have a ton of desktop real estate to work with.
Summary: I purchased this monitor and it is amazing. I no longer need my glasses at 60 to read the monitor. The only complaint is I called back a week later to get another one for the Computer I do detailed work on and the price had went up over 100 dollars. Since Dell has gone to a new Monitor which costs 1500 dollars I guess that is the reason. I will just hope that it goes back to the old price so I can but one.
Summary: Perfect monitor to optimize your workspace. If you have more room, install a couple of Ultrasharp 2007's in Portrait mode on either side for a whopping 4960x1600 workspace. You will need a couple of powerful video cards to get the best performance.
