Competitive high-resolution at a price that puts Apple to shame

Summary: I took a small risk buying this monitor given the history of apparent quality control issues (such as dead pixels). So far, it seems that Dell have resolved their problems and I now happily use this fantastic monitor almost every day. Paired with a "mini-to-regular" display port cable from Monoprice, my Macbook Pro can drive this monitor at full resolution, great for all-day coding sessions, full screen video, or game playing.
Great monitor to connect to an Apple MacPro Intel Xeon Quad-Core desktop model 770LL/A

Summary: I wanted a large monitor but disliked the high reflection of Apple's 27-inch LED Cinema Display especially as a big window is in the back of my workstation. The Dell 27-inch widescreen U2713HM monitor with its antiglare coating and the same maximum resolution of 2560 x 1440 as the Apple Cinema Display has proven to be the perfect companion to my Apple MacPro.
Summary: Don't waste any time, for the price these monitors are selling for at the moment, just get one or two. I have been gaming and using computers for well over 10 years now and these monitors are by far the best I have ever seen personally. 2560X1440, 'nuff said. The only con I can think of is their software is still a little buggy. Make sure you get a video cable which supports the full resolution of these monitors. *Dual Link DVI in my case.
Summary: I've bought three of these monitors and they have all been excellent. I love the USB 3.0 hub built in, the amazing screen doesn't hurt either. I've done multiple tests on all three monitors, have not found a single screen defect on any of the three with shadowing, dead or stuck pixels, etc that others have posted about. All three have been from the Amazon Warehouse deals section.
Summary: I have been using this monitor for a few months and I find it to be superb. I have used many high quality monitors before, and I am an enthusiast photographer as well. The monitor is used for work, photos, etc. It is very accurate, sharp, the black level is much better than on a higher end NEC I still own. There are faint diagonal lines when viewed from short distance but you have to suffer from really bad OCD (worse than mine) to even pay attention.
Summary: I use this monitor for computer programming -- reading small text -- so I'm sensitive to any jitter, blurring, or dead pixels. I've tried a couple of others, but this is the best for my purpose. A close second was a Samsung, but this Dell was close in price at the time I was ready to buy. The only downside is that driving such a huge number of pixels required some tinkering of my computer, particularly getting a displayport cable to connect my Dell m4600 laptop.
Summary: Wanted a larger monitor to replace my Dell 2407 24" monitor. I've always had good luck with Dell monitors so despite some negative remarks here I decided to try one out. Arrived via FED-EX with Prime shipping and was double boxed and in excellent shape. Opened it up and starting setting it up when I discovered it did not have a power cord in the box. I was more than a little peeved about this. So off to Fry's and had to buy the cord myself.
Summary: I own this for the office and I own an Apple 27" Thunderbolt Display at home. They're both excellent. The matte finish is a blessing where harsh lighting hits the monitor. Worth every penny to have a gorgeous, vivid display at work where I'm staring at a screen all day.
Summary: I am loving my new monitor. I've had it for a month now. It is sharp and beautiful and a good alternative to the Apple Cinema Display. It occasionally gives me the noisy static issue that you may find researching high resolution monitors, but I just unplug the dual link DVI adaptor and plug it right back in and that solves the problem. I've loved this monitor!
Summary: WORD OF WARNING: IN ORDER TO EXPERIENCE THE FULL RESOLUTION GET A MINI DISPLAYPORT TO DISPLAYPORT CABLE (MY MAC DVI CABLE WOULD ONLY GET ME TO 1900X (THESE CABLES ARE 8 BUCKS ON AMAZON -- THE STARTECH CABLE SEEMS TO BE HIGH QUALITY))
