Excerpt: I am not a professional photographer or graphic artist, but I do have very critical taste...this monitor arrived well-packaged with a perfect display, no dead pixels and great color calibration out of the box! I had purchased a displayport to DVI-D cable to hook up but it didn't work. I purchased a second one and that didn't work. Anyway, I considered returning it, but I get the same high resolution using the DVI-D to DVI-D cable.
Excerpt: I picked up two of these from the Dell Outlet after eyeing them for a couple of years. The picture quality is fantastic and the industrial design is superb. I am driving each with a DP input from an AMD card in my Dell desktop that has dual DP outputs driving each display at the full 2560x1440...
Excerpt: I was a bit apprehensive about buying this monitor after hearing about the crosshatching. I received an A00 revision and have no crosshatching, no dead pixels.

The brightness and color settings seem to be pretty good. The monitor can get sufficiently bright even when the sun is glaring through my window behind it. Monitor came with the factory color calibration report.
Pros: Adjustable, Easy To Set Up, Sharp Image, Vivid Colors
Excerpt: Bought this monitor to use for video editing. I'm used to using CRT monitors so this will take a little getting used to. I'm using as an extended monitor and so far it has done a great job. Only time will tell.
Pros: Adjustable, Easy To Set Up, Lightweight, Sharp Image, Vivid Colors
Apple Thunderbolt vs. Dell u2713HM - (almost as good as Apple Thunderbolt)
Wadood Chaudhary, Amazon
22 February 2014
Summary: I replaced my Apple Thunderbolt with this one and want to add my 2 cents for those trying to do the same or torn between the two. I was using my MacBook Air with Thunderbolt which stood on a very fancy swivel stand from Rain Design (another $100). I was generally happy but wanted to use other media devices (like Roku or AppleTV), which was not possible on the Thunderbolt because it lacks HDMI ports.
Excerpt: I chose this display over the Asus PB278Q. Dell's warrantee what swayed me over to the U2713HM. The ASUS is available at NCIX for $670. On sale, I purchased from Dell.ca for $585CDN (regularly $799 each). If you purchase from Amazon or another vendor, you will not get the 3 year exchange...
Excerpt: Replaced a korean brand 1440p with this one. Colors seem more vibrant and the build quality is far superior. No dead or stuck pixels, 3 year warranty from dell. Delivery was fast. Would reccomend.
Excerpt: Best screen owned so far, but it might not suite everyone. For that many you can get 2 screens of same size, but if you in to photography or have anything to do with graphic it's must have screen.
