Excerpt: I used a mini display port to VGA adapter and connected with the supplied VGA cord. I am using a late 2011 17" MBP OS10.8.5 with AMD Radeon HD 6750M 1024 MB. Display flickered, looked terrible. Thinking it was related to my older computer, etc. I did some research.
Pros: Adjustable, Easy To Set Up, Lightweight, Sharp Image, Works Out Of The Box
Summary: Absolutely great monitor! The picture is stunning and the color is great. I debated between this and Samsung's new TN panel 4k monitor but honestly this monitor at 1440p is pixel dense and looks much better than 1080p without the software issues of 4k.
Just as good if not better than the current apple 27" Thunderbolt Monitor, at half the price. WIN WIN!

Summary: I am so used to the high quality of apple monitors for all these years that I was very reluctant to consider anything else. But then I purchased a pair of these and was blown away by how awesome they are, for half the price.
Summary: With the mixed reviews of people loving this monitor and those who had a various problems, I was very hesitant to buy but decided to take a chance. I'm here so report that (although just a day into my ownership) I see none of the problems that have been reported.
What that means is if this monitor were to ever go bad within its warranty Dell would ship a replacement immediately ...

Summary: Just received this monitor but have used it previously, friends have one. I have the A00 Revision but was built in August 2014. The first thing I did was immediately check for back light bleeding since this was a known issue with this monitor.
Summary: This monitor is fantastic. Anti glare coating is just right, my photos have NEVER looked better. It's not that bad for gaming, no worse than any other Dell U series monitors (previously had the U2412M, and 2009wa before) I no longer have to wish that I had an Apple monitor when viewing my photos.
