One of the USB outlets has been broken since day one. Comes with two of them on the side, but only one works!

Rachel, Amazon

  • Summary: One of the USB outlets on the side of the monitor is broken. For $1k I expect it to not have any kind of defect, no matter how small. This is not a cheap monitor and $1000 for a monitor is A LOT of money. I EXPECT the entire thing to work as it is supposed to.

Over priced & under valued - get the u2713hm or u2412m instead...

Refuz2Say, Amazon
3 July 2014
  • Summary: I bought this expecting a great monitor to match the great price. It's ok but nothing special. I already have a Dell U2412M so I sat them side by side and ran through a comparison -- the result - the difference is miniscule. So, don't waste the extra $450.

Love the color. The rest? Wouldn't buy again

warthorn, Amazon

  • Summary: ----PROS: * Color is outstanding... It's like the Festival of Colors in India no matter what you're looking at. Your eyes will smile. I am not a designer, I simply wanted the color for viewing brilliant photos, games, and especially movies (we use my PC as our media center).

Annoying change of color and brightness

adonyvan, Amazon
9 April 2013
  • Summary: I recently bought this U2713H and liked it first, until it really gets under my skin. The color and brightness just keeps changing, it's really annoying, especially when I am watching netflix. What's up with that?

Dell U2713H vs NEC PA241W-BK

Sheedoe, Dell
17 February 2013
  • Excerpt: I have used the NEC MultiSync PA241W-BK for a couple of years and now decided to upgrade to a slightly bigger monitor with Adobe RGB color gamut and LED backlighting. Here's what I found: Pros: - Less aggressive AG coating.
  • Pros: great colors, legible text, good value

Good overall, but some issues

threedee, Dell
22 January 2013
  • Excerpt: After short use the display seems good overall, but the color management and Uniformity Compensation (UC) were disappointments. UC can't be used with the sRGB, Adobe RGB or calibrated (CAL1/CAL2) modes. UC will only work with the Standard and Custom Color modes.
  • Pros: 3d animation, video and photo editing, office applications

Great display, poor compatibility.

A. Durling, Amazon
2 October 2013
  • Summary: I've always valued the benefit of a good display, and I have always bought the best I can afford. Price / performance wise I am happy. The color reproduction looks great to my eye, and the display itself performs really well for my purposes (I am not a gamer though, so can't comment about that).

Response Time Compensation makes high contrast moving content display severe overshoot

B. King, Amazon
14 August 2013
  • Summary: I really wanted to keep this monitor (Revision A03), but in the end couldn't bring myself to it. Pros: - The display is nice and sharp with its ~100ppi. - The colours are beautiful and makes working in Lightroom and Photoshop a joy. Very good for Adobe RGB colour space work.
