Buy any other brand

Aaron S., Newegg
12 March 2015
  • Summary: Bad bad bad bad product and company (Dell)
  • Pros: Color depth
  • Cons: 2 biggest issues - Made by Dell. Serviced by Dell. This monitor developed issues with flicker and pixel streaking within 5 months of purchase. I spent 16+ hours with Dell support trying to troubleshoot and get a replacement. 2 months later I got a replacement that was a cheaper, inferior model. I...

Poor Quality Control from Dell

Jeremy H., Newegg
7 February 2015
  • Summary: Dell was not helpful in providing a replacement. After going back and forth with them about the issue they agreed to send me a replacement. However, they shipped it to the wrong person and then wouldn't send me a new one, since the package was already delivered to someone else.
  • Pros: The tech specs were nice and it was on sale for $649 at the time.
  • Cons: The monitor had a blue tint to everything. I was not able to resolve with adjusting settings. Dell tech support troubleshooting steps could not resolve either. The gamma test spec sheet that they included with the monitor even showed that the blue levels were abnormally high.

Does NOT play well with Mac

Rob, Amazon
3 February 2015
  • Summary: Green banding and ghosting. Doesn't work with Macbook pro after hours of troubleshooting. Dell has no Mac customer support, only windows. Would not recommend. It's little brother the HM is good, it's only downside is it does not have a display port daisy chain passthrough.

Color is HORRIBLE!

Drk9ght, Amazon
27 January 2015
  • Summary: Color was horribly inaccurate! So much for 99% color accuracy! I returned it and bought a samsung that was 100% color accurate right out of the box and stood up to it's claims. No matter how I adjusted the settings, it didn't come close to being accurate.

This is a PC only product.

Allenchan, Amazon
31 December 2013
  • Summary: It is not compatible with MAC OS, and there is no instruction of it on the seller's description. For return it, a unreasonable restocking fee will be charged.

Terrible!! AVOID this monitor!!!

Eric L., Amazon
26 September 2013
  • Summary: What a terrible experience!!! I purchased two U2713H, the seller shipped two different revision to me (A01/A02). My setup is daisy chained DP from Radeon HD 69xx and both monitors are calibrated with i1 Display Pro, so far the A01 panel looks okay but with some uniformity problem, the A02 is...

User Review

valerie f., Newegg
13 September 2013
  • Pros: None, but I learned that Dell sells point of sales systems on my phone tour of HELL.
  • Cons: I purchased this monitor from Dell. I was unable to set the resolution to 2560 x 1440. Anything over 1920X1080 produced snow/distorted image. I spoke to 4 different diversions of Dell. And some of the suggestions were unbelievable. Never allow an alleged Dell tech to remote into your system. He c...

Defective USB 3.0 Hub *** AVOID ****

P Williams, Amazon
5 July 2013
  • Summary: On paper, this monitor sounds great but I recently picked one up and discovered that the USB 3.0 Hub is completely defective on the vast majority of versions out there. If you plug the USB cable into a USB 2.0 connector on your motherboard or use only USB 2.0 devices, then the problem does not...

DEFECTIVE USB 3.0 * AVOID

Scott S., Newegg
4 July 2013
  • Summary: I'm disgusted by the fact there so many people out there have this monitor with no working USB 3.0 hub. My guess is most people connect it to USB 2.0 ports on their motherboard so they never notice. I think Dell should issue a recall for the entire line as clearly it has a faulty design.
  • Pros: Great picture. Wide variety of inputs. Wide Gamut
  • Cons: There is a large batch of these that have a defective USB 3.0 hub that will only work if connected to a USB 2.0 port on your motherboard or only use USB 2.0 devices. Connecting a USB 3.0 device and using a USB 3.0 port on your motherboard, will cause the device to either not be recongized or cons...
