Summary: It isn't a cheap display at all, very expensive, but worth EVERY penny. I mostly play games on mine and I don't know how I ever played on anything else. If you want to play PC games, don't mess around with some lesser monitor, get this and prepare to be amazed.
Summary: I previously had a 24" monitor through another manufacturer and read many reviews from various websites before purchasing the Dell UltraSharp 27". In looking for a monitor suitable for photo editing in both the sRGB and AdobeRGB color spaces, I decided to give this one a try.
Summary: I bought this monitor for a specialized task, at which it excels. There were absolutely no issues, delivery was swift and the screen arrived in flawless condition. Plenty of bucks, but a lot of bang for them. Very happy with this monitor.
Pros: I bought this monitor for photographic editing. It has been a sizable step up from the $150-$300 monitors I've used in the past. I couldn't really justify a $1000 plus spend on my hobby, but as the price of this monitor has been dropping (I picked mine up for $773) I decided to pull the trigger. ...
Summary: I see some people complaining about the price, but if you are in the market for a monitor like this, price really shouldn't be a concern. You knew what you were getting into. Make sure you have a system powerful enough that can handle the resolution.
Pros: The picture quality will leave you speechless. Going from 1080p to 2560x1440 is a game changer. You have to experience it first hand to realize just how much you have been missing out while gaming on a 1080p monitor. Playing Crysis 3 maxed out @ 2560x1440 is truly a sight to behold.
Summary: I have a older Dell monitor that I replaced with this one...after reading many reviews and contemplating the purchase of the U2410, I am glad i purchased this one new. I many be a bit pessimistic but the 3 year warranty is what made me comfortable making the purchase rather than saving a few bucks...
Summary: I can't say enough good things about this monitor. I was a little worried when I purchased it because of some people's comments regarding the anti-glare coating. However, I don't have any issues with it or notice any image defects from it.
Pros: 1. wide color gamut 2. anti-glare coating 3. user-friendly controls/options/menu 4. multiple inputs including DisplayPort 5. height adjustable 6. IPS type LCD panel 7. 2560 x 1440 resolution (capable of upscaling 1080P to 1440P properly) 8. 3 year warranty
Cons: 1. cost (no eggs deducted) just wishful thinking 2. response time - VERY MINOR ghosting If you are a person who notices the smallest of video defects which I do, then you might see it. I noticed it but it is so minor that it does not detract from my gaming experience. Most people who have viewed ...
Summary: While I do not really like Dell PCs, their monitors have always been very good, I own several. The image and color quality on this monitor are excellent. Plenty of connections, read the specs, it's all there. Use this with a Mac, a Windows PC and Linux. Love the Desktop space.
Summary: I'm going to start this review of with what I feel are this monitors shortcomings, because there really aren't that many of them. Also keep in mind that, my opinion of a pro or con, feature wise, may be reversed for someone else. It's all based on personal preference really.
Summary: First let me emphasize that I don't use this in a color-critical environment. If you're buying this display for a professional setting, you should look elsewhere for advice. Now that we've got that out of the way, let's talk about the display.
