These monitors make me so happy I sing to John Denver

Summary: These are great monitors. I had seen them on display at a Microcenter and was thoroughly unimpressed. I saw a deal for refurbs of this monitor at a steal and thought it was worth the gamble. These monitors once calibrated properly (ahem Microcenter you're losing money) are beautiful. In fact, I think they outperform a lot of the LCD's released after them. They hold their own with LED's although that's simply a different technology and definitely the way of the future.
Huge, amazing colors, high resolution, low latency
16 January 2014
Summary: The high resolution and incredible color and depth of this monitor make it worth the large price tag. I use it with my Mac Pro for everything from web browsing to video editing with final cut pro. The low latency also makes this monitor great for gaming. The only drawbacks are that it is quite heavy and has a somewhat limited range of motion.
Summary: It isn't a cheap display at all, very expensive, but worth EVERY penny. I mostly play games on mine and I don't know how I ever played on anything else. If you want to play PC games, don't mess around with some lesser monitor, get this and prepare to be amazed.
Works great with Mac Mini IF you get the right cable

Summary: The monitor is great for all the reasons everybody else has stated here but if you are using it with a current Mac the trick is to get the correct type of cable - which happily also turns out to be the least expensive type - I'm a news photographer and I've got the current (2013/14) Mac Mini with Mavericks running this monitor effortlessly at maximum resolution using the Mini-Displayport-to-Displayport cable.
Great color, but the glare reduction coating is annoying

Summary: Great color, nice size. My have problems dropping the usb connections on a mac laptop. I switched it to use it with my mac tower and it's been great. The coating to reduce glare is a bit annoying, but if you don't ramp up the brightness it's less notable. If your going to use this in a brightly lit office, you'll be fine.
