Lots of bang for lots of buck!

Stephen Ebel, Amazon
8 January 2014
  • Summary: It isn't a cheap display at all, very expensive, but worth EVERY penny. I mostly play games on mine and I don't know how I ever played on anything else. If you want to play PC games, don't mess around with some lesser monitor, get this and prepare to be amazed.

Humongous. And amazing.

Jeannie, Amazon
7 October 2013
  • Summary: I previously had a 24" monitor through another manufacturer and read many reviews from various websites before purchasing the Dell UltraSharp 27". In looking for a monitor suitable for photo editing in both the sRGB and AdobeRGB color spaces, I decided to give this one a try.

Unusable for me

Nicholas W., Newegg
7 April 2013
  • Summary: Don't buy if you like glossy smooth images and text. Buy if you like rainbow sprinkles.
  • Pros: Good price for the size. Colors were supposedly good.
  • Cons: The monitor is practically unusable due to the anti glare coating which makes the entire monitor sparkle. I was coming from a glossy monitor, so it was just unbearable, especially with small text. Some people don't see this, but it was so bad for me I had to return it.

Good monitor gone bad...

freud5137, Amazon
31 March 2013
  • Summary: I purchased my Dell DU2711 refurbished here at Amazon for around $800.00 in 2010. Approximately six months later the monitor began to malfunction with thin bands of interference appearing on screen left and stretching across the screen. To say the least, I was bummed.

Gorgeous.

Andrew B., Newegg
26 March 2013
  • Summary: I bought this monitor for a specialized task, at which it excels. There were absolutely no issues, delivery was swift and the screen arrived in flawless condition. Plenty of bucks, but a lot of bang for them. Very happy with this monitor.
  • Pros: I bought this monitor for photographic editing. It has been a sizable step up from the $150-$300 monitors I've used in the past. I couldn't really justify a $1000 plus spend on my hobby, but as the price of this monitor has been dropping (I picked mine up for $773) I decided to pull the trigger. ...
  • Cons: None. Does exactly what Dell says it does.

Incredible

Anonymous, Newegg
26 February 2013
  • Summary: I see some people complaining about the price, but if you are in the market for a monitor like this, price really shouldn't be a concern. You knew what you were getting into. Make sure you have a system powerful enough that can handle the resolution.
  • Pros: The picture quality will leave you speechless. Going from 1080p to 2560x1440 is a game changer. You have to experience it first hand to realize just how much you have been missing out while gaming on a 1080p monitor. Playing Crysis 3 maxed out @ 2560x1440 is truly a sight to behold.
  • Cons: Nothing

Awesome but not chic

Robert K., Newegg
24 February 2013
  • Summary: This monitor is a professional monitor. It is thick. It is solid. It is a brute by all accounts. If you're looking for something slim and sexy, look at Dell's S series. Their aesthetics are easier on the eyes and most models have an IPS panel which still gives you a beautiful display for casual...
  • Pros: -High Resolution is great for multitasking -Colors are rich and stand out -Gaming preset mode really makes games look better
  • Cons: -Anti-glare coating leaves rainbow pixelation on white backgrounds. It takes some getting used to.

Great monitor...

Relwok, Amazon
22 January 2013
  • Summary: I have a older Dell monitor that I replaced with this one...after reading many reviews and contemplating the purchase of the U2410, I am glad i purchased this one new. I many be a bit pessimistic but the 3 year warranty is what made me comfortable making the purchase rather than saving a few bucks...

Simply the B-E-S-T!!!

Carol Z., Newegg
19 January 2013
  • Summary: I can't say enough good things about this monitor. I was a little worried when I purchased it because of some people's comments regarding the anti-glare coating. However, I don't have any issues with it or notice any image defects from it.
  • Pros: 1. wide color gamut 2. anti-glare coating 3. user-friendly controls/options/menu 4. multiple inputs including DisplayPort 5. height adjustable 6. IPS type LCD panel 7. 2560 x 1440 resolution (capable of upscaling 1080P to 1440P properly) 8. 3 year warranty
  • Cons: 1. cost (no eggs deducted) just wishful thinking 2. response time - VERY MINOR ghosting If you are a person who notices the smallest of video defects which I do, then you might see it. I noticed it but it is so minor that it does not detract from my gaming experience. Most people who have viewed ...

This thing is pricey

Ben B. Photography, Amazon
26 December 2012
  • Summary: Got this from the big Cyber Monday sale. Saved almost 600 bucks on 2 of them since I like to run dual screens. Dont bother buying this if you do not have the latest graphics card. a VGA cable will not get you the full resolution, nor will an HDMI, you need the DVI 2 or the video port.
