Summary: The Dell UltraSharp U2711 is available in India at a price of Rs. 44,000. The monitor does exceedingly well in terms of design, features and performance and it does not have any real cons going for it. The only real issue we have is with its price, for it is rather steep. There are a range of 27-inch monitors available in the market and they cost half of what the U2711 does, but they fall short in terms of performance.
Conclusion: Dell U2711 is a fantastic screen. It transfers the positive picture elements from U2410 into 27 inches and adds an extremely high resolution of 2560x1440 pixels. The resolution makes U2711 ideal for CAD or other desktop space consuming tasks. Dell U2711 has better “out-of-box” picture quality compared to the smaller 24-inch Dell U2410 but the sRGB profile is not as accurate.
Pros: Picture quality, Functionality and inputs, Ergonomic adjustability, High resolution, Shadow detail, Viewing angles, Blacks
Cons: Response time, Price, No pivot, sRGB not as exact as on U2410, Minor Overdrive trailing
The Dell UltraSharp U2711 is one of the best LCD monitors that a consumer can buy, with an excellent 27 inch screen.

Summary: The Dell UltraSharp U2711 is an absolutely enjoyable 27-inch monitor. With an awe-inspiring screen resolution, a quality IPS panel, future-proof colour gamut and wide variety of input options, people who do not mind spending more for a good product need not have to think very much as it is simply the best buy. And shop around online and you can get a good deal.
Pros: 2560x1440 screen resolution, quality of H-IPS panel, lot of input ports, DeepColor gamut support, input lag not noticeable
Excerpt: The screen uses an IPS panel (In-plane Switching) that can display colours better than most others, including Dell ’s older 27-inch model the U2709W. In keeping with the current trend, the Dell UltraSharp U2711 features a 16:9 wide-screen aspect ratio for movies, but the big deal here is its screen resolution.
Conclusion: Overall I don't have much bad to say about the Dell U2711 to be honest! Dell have met expectations as usual in terms of a wide range of ergonomics, interfaces and features from the screen. The use of IPS panel technology was a great move, and there are no real sacrifices in terms of responsiveness, black depth, contrast with that change.
Pros: Ultra high resolution and large screen size. Excellent for office work, CAD, design etc, Excellent colour accuracy once calibrated, available in all modes, Wide range of features, ergonomics and interfaces
Cons: Some RTC overshoot leaving dark trailing in moving image tests, Mediocre input lag and lack of 'through mode', Dysfunctional dynamic contrast ratio control
