Best low priced IPS monitor you can get; all around excellence.
9 May 2011
Summary: Great monitor. Does everything I want it to do. Least expensive IPS monitor available for this size. Color looked amazing out of the box and consistent along other same model monitors (I bought multiple for Eyefinity setup so I could span my video editing along two monitors, and use third as the video preview window...or I use all three for Eyefinity so I can game on all three or watch movies on all three). I use it for photo editing, gaming, and video editing.
Summary: Overall, these are decent monitors. But the viewing angle is NOT 178 degrees, as advertised. Sure, you can see the colors at that angle, but even sitting straight in front of the monitor, about half of the screen is color-shifted. I bought two of these for their ability to rotate 90 degrees, as I wanted to use them in portrait mode. That part of their design works well.
Summary: Purchased 3 refurbished. The only flaw was the plastic bezels around all 3 are loose and do not snap together correctly. Used all 3in Portrait mode to create a 3422x1920 screen. Text is crisp and sharp. Color quality is excellent. Great viewing at any angle. Best S-IPS for the price, definitely recommended.
Summary: These monitors are great! I purchased two and was very surprised at the quality. The stand moves up, down, left, right, tilts, rotates, all with ease. My previous monitors didn't move around very easily. These also turn on very quick, and when I calibrated the monitors both were already very close to perfect.
Summary: this monitor was the best priced (274$), most responsive and most accurate e-ips 23" panel. With a little calibration (i found other people's settings on forums) it shines. Best buy, for best price.
Summary: After 12 years of using a Dell 19" CRT and the glare from the screen, it was finally time upgrade. Wish I could have afforded something bigger, but for the price, I have no complaints on buying this 23". Everything looks so much better. No dead pixels and no glossy bezel are always good.
Summary: Great product, the difference between this and my old TN panel are evident. Colors look great and although the response time is a bit higher than my old TN, I have absolutely no problems gaming on it (and I am an FPS player). Great construction, feels durable and solid. Easy to navigate and understand control set. Setup was a breeze. Overall I love this monitor and would recommend it in a heartbeat. IPS is the way to go if you love image clarity and color accuracy.
Summary: ..unless you're willing to fork out over $1,000 for a top of the line pro-calibrated, perfectly color accurate monitor, this is your baby. Perfect size screen. Very large, in fact, I don't see why you would need to spend the extra on the 24" or 27". The screen can't even be blocked out by two pieces of 8.5 x 11 sheets of printer paper (it is that large and wide). The stand is strong and versatile.
Summary: Upon receiving the monitor, it had a large crescent shaped dark area on the bottom middle of the screen and tinting issues on the sides; if I would display a white color, the white was not uniform, on one side it looked very much more like a yellow. Dell support, being in india, couldn't even understand me.
