Summary: This is my third Dell monitor in the last seven years and all have served me very well. The 23" Dell wide screen is excellent so far, but have only had it about one month. The primary reason I buy Dell monitors, is they have the very handy USB ports on the side of the screen, as most other monitors do not. Since I have 3 computers, none of the three are brand names, I can move the jump drives very easily from monitor to monitor.
Summary: I needed two 23" flatpanels for my desktop and decided on the Dell Ultrasharp. The overall build quality of the monitor is very good, and the color quality and sharpness is top notch. The stand is well designed and makes it easy to turn the monitor vertical. No regrets would by it again.
Summary: I recently purchased two of these. I also own a 27" TN 2048 x 1152 panel of reasonable quality, but these are hands down the best monitors I have ever used. I am an RGP contact lens wearer, and these panels are much easier on my vision than anything else. For that reason alone I would recommend these panels. The color is detailed and superb, and the ergonomics of the Dell hardware is second to none.
Summary: Very easy to set up. I was able to have it hooked up and running in minutes. The brightness and contrast can be adjusted easily via buttons on the side of the monitor. I've had the monitor for about 2 months now. No problems.
Best low priced IPS monitor you can get; all around excellence.

Summary: Great monitor. Does everything I want it to do. Least expensive IPS monitor available for this size. Color looked amazing out of the box and consistent along other same model monitors (I bought multiple for Eyefinity setup so I could span my video editing along two monitors, and use third as the video preview window...or I use all three for Eyefinity so I can game on all three or watch movies on all three). I use it for photo editing, gaming, and video editing.
Summary: I just picked one of these up for my office and love it so far. Technically it is no comparison to the 30" ACD I have at home, but for web browsing, excel, word, email, viewing PDFs, and limited photoshop work it is excellent, especially for the price (I paid $200). I normally don't care about adjustability, using my home workspace mainly for photo work, but being able to swivel the monitor as well as rotate it is a nice feature to have when using mapping and GIS...
Summary: Overall, these are decent monitors. But the viewing angle is NOT 178 degrees, as advertised. Sure, you can see the colors at that angle, but even sitting straight in front of the monitor, about half of the screen is color-shifted. I bought two of these for their ability to rotate 90 degrees, as I wanted to use them in portrait mode. That part of their design works well.
Summary: Purchased 3 refurbished. The only flaw was the plastic bezels around all 3 are loose and do not snap together correctly. Used all 3in Portrait mode to create a 3422x1920 screen. Text is crisp and sharp. Color quality is excellent. Great viewing at any angle. Best S-IPS for the price, definitely recommended.
