  • Excerpt: We're slowly working our way through the U series of monitors from Dell. We've already looked at the U2311H and the higher end U2711; both have impressed thanks to a beautiful IPS panel which brings us accurate colours and just a generally great overall look. The screen itself shows us all the benefits we've seen from the other U series IPS Dell monitors while also showing the same flaws. That means colour range is fantastic and colours on a whole are gorgeous.

Dell U2211H

  • Conclusion: Having only recently tested the 23" model, I had high hopes for the U2211H. Apart from the 1.5" size difference, there was very little to separate the two really. Colour accuracy, black depth and contrast ratio were all excellent, even out of the box which is important to consider in this price range. These were some of the best results we had seen in fact.
  • Pros: Excellent colour accuracy, black depth and contrast ratio, even without calibration, Very attractive price compared with competing models, Good range of ergonomics and features
  • Cons: Some luminance uniformity issues and backlight leakage (may vary), Dynamic contrast ratio didn't work!, Limited hardware aspect ratio control options
