Summary: I am an IT consultant, and I like this monitor so much, I have now bought close to 30 of them. Six for personal use. The two issues I have had with most monitors in portrait mode is that they either seemed too tall, or not wide enough. This monitor solves both of those problems. The resolution of 1600x1200 means that you get a width of 1200 pixels in portrait mode which I find is wide enough.
Summary: I currently have two of these monitors that I am using and am super pleased with the display, color and clarity. However the biggest plus is the 1600 x 1200 pixel screen resolution. Widescreens may be great for watching movies, but for computer work, the 4:3 aspect ratio is ideal. On this 20 inch monitor, two single page Word documents may be viewed in full side by side without any need for scrolling.
Summary: This is a newer, imporved version of the 2001FP 20" I've been using for years. The new monitor now joins the earlier version in a dual setup with my new PC. The 2007FP is a little sleeker in appearance, and has a much better stand, but they look good together in my rolltopp desk and perform well.
Summary: Needed this product for work at my lab's office (external monitors are not provided here). The 4:3 dimensions screen are rare nowadays and tend to be more expensive than their widescreen counterpart, but they are really good for traditional applications like Office, Internet browser, and e-mail client where you have much more vertical pixels to work with.
